Yeah, not sure about junk yards, not really sure of any local ones to check with. Pull-a-part claims that no other year matches it, but I find that hard to believe.

Ahhh, see thats why I came here. Never thought of glueing it into the track. Hmmm, wonder if I could make that work.

I would think rear view mirror glue would be a great option for holding onto glass.

Let me know if you can't find a glue that works though.

Yeah, I will have to see what I can work out. My only worry with trying to glue it would be actually getting it to glue to the track, since the way it is attached to the track is the piece that broke. Basically, imagine if you will :) , the bottom of the glass, and then a "U" shaped piece of plastic that slips onto the bottom of the glass with a tab coming out of the bottom of the "U" that sits into the track. Now imagine, one side of that "U" is broke off, thats what I am dealing with.

Another possible option. Would just have to see if they had something small enough to wrap against the glass. But worth a check.

    Hmmmm.

Possibly glue, and some type of clamp? I know they make sticker plates for sticking on glass. Also, the drilling a hole and wiring it up may be your best option.

I checked some junk yards, and so far I found a window at a spot in Calera, but it is still $100, but hey, at least I might have options.

Noticed the miata's rear passenger tire had uneven wear... Had an "Oh shit, that jackass sold me a car with a bent frame!" moment.

    Nope, just needed alignment. Phew.

Lucky man! I wish there was a way to test frames before you purchased a vehicle.

I know, right? I know next time I buy a road vehicle I'll definitely be checking tire depth evenness. The unevenness wasn't visible to the eye and the car tracked straight, but add that to the myriad list of stuff to check before purchase.

Also the tires were overinflated anyway - like 38 psi instead of 26 - so it also had extra wear in the center which contributed to the issue.

    Anyway, yeah. Phew.

I mean, I know you can get it inspected and all that, but this was such a cheap car... I'm happy it worked out, lol.

No kidding, my truck was pretty cheap when I bought it, too. It was rolled, and in terrible condition. First thing I checked was for frame rust, and didn't find any. Looked down the frame and it appeared straight to the naked eye. I knew I could fix everything else, and it was very cheap, so I went for it.

    Always nervous about frames though.

Although, anybody know (Bill?) - I guess you do on-road driving with your taco, but if I'm buying a trail rig like the sami that I intend to trailer, do I care even if the frame is bent a bit? I imagined it wouldn't matter so much, why align something that only sees dirt?
