Yeah I thought the same thing, ordered a BTCB drop for the 5" and less rear lift and it didn't help at all, ordered another 1/2" spacer on top of the first 1/2" spacer, installed, and was almost vibe free (had a minor 55-60 mph)

Thanks for the quick reply, double carrier bearing drop was an oversight, but I'll keep that in mind if i still get vibes after 1. Going back to the trim packers, you're saying the 5 mm (~.2 in) on the passenger and 13 mm (~.5 in) on the driver?

I was thinking about having them be preassembled so i don't have to deal with it. I don't trust a shop around here yet.

Let's give the ome cb a try and see how it runs. I'll keep it in mind though.

Yeah if you got the money get them pre assembled, they didn't offer that when I ordered my OME setup and I used a sketchy method to do the install :anonymous:

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
Not 100% necessary, but do your brake lines. You'll end up wheeling the truck at some point (it's the bug, it'll get you!) and it's better to do them now while everything is torn apart anyway. OCTaco has a great deal going for $103. I got a full set and they are f-ing awesome.

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/gr...-deal-steel-braded-brake-lines-group-buy.html

All Pro Off Road has some really nice UCA's, I bet there's a group buy if you search the threads.

I bought the whole kit (for a Gen III) on Amazon. The ONLY issue is that I suspect they were still selling off the old 886 springs (prone to sag) and not the 886x. Make damned sure you're getting the newer spring, in your case the 885x. It's labelled with a tag on the coil itself. If you buy the strut assembled you're looking at a fun install :D

Thanks for the info. I'll take a look. Any issues with reliability after three years of running them?

Wheelers has 5MM, 10MM and 13MM available (.2,.4,.5"). I see where Toytec has a 1/4" top plate spacer separately, but when you hit the dropdown for their complete OME kit, it doesn't specify how big they are. Additionally, since I was going to have them pre-assemble, would I be right in assuming that Toytec's spacers would not correct the taco lean?

If you are getting OME shocks , you can have the 5mm trim packer put on the driver's side ( it goes on the coil seat , below the coil ) for taco lean and them use matching top plate spacers for extra lift

I got 2 1/2" of lift on my DCLB 4x4 with the 885x coils alone , top plate spacers provide approx double their thickness in lift , ie 1/4" spacers net approx 1/2" , 10mm ( 3/8" ) will net approx 3/4"

I havent had any issues with the Emu lift. I havent heard of any issues (nor judging by the quality of the lines I got foresee any issues) with the lines OCTaco is selling. The guy who makes the lines backs his work, so if there is an issue you're not S.O.L. From what I've gathered he is a popular fellow, and produces a lot for different racing applications.

if i dont have the TSB aal on my stock 2nd gen, whats the best rear option with the OME 3" lift kit off toytec so i can get it leveled out nicely? the front seems to rake about 2 inches lower than the rear right now.
