I wouldn't waste your money, as it could happen with any one piece DS and you can barely notice it unless you listen for it. As I stated earlier you need to get your driveshaft lengthened, you do not need a new driveshaft. This procedure will cost you about $150 from your local driveline shop. They will also rebalance your DS after they lengthen it. In all honesty, it's not worth it. Nothing is wrong with your truck, take that $150 and take the mrs out for a nice dinner/movie, get laid, and think about trading the truck in for a big boy truck

By the way... You don't have a slip joint, since your DS is ONE PIECE.

    Yes. He does.

Rebuilding/lengthening his driveshaft is perfectly sensible. I'd do the same in his situation. There are a lot of reasons aside from driving comfort why it's a good idea to eliminate vibrations.

From what I've researched... I need a longer slip joint to account for the lift, not an extended tube on the DS. A spacer or a longer tube may not allow for enough suspension compression, bottom out the slip joint, and damage something.

Spring Menders on Raby Rd, off VB Blvd, does custom work(small to heavy trucks). I'll get a quote from them.

I wouldn't waste the money... I'm pretty sure you don't have a slip joint otherwise you would have a 2 piece shaft... Which you don't. Flipping it got rid of the vibe... You're good

yea. . . .without a slipjoint, that would be one uncomfortable truck as suspension cycles.

whoops, I had some misinformation I hope no one read (didn't realize that reg cabs were one piece from factory, thought they had a carrier). a slip yoke however, doesn't make it a 2 piece driveshaft. a carrier bearing supporting another flanged, removable u-joint in the center would in my experience. this does not exist on regular cabs.

op, I hope you get it all fixed up and im glad you found the problem and its on about the cheapest part of the drivetrain. good luck
