Yep. Just cap the air line inlet with a vacuum cap so no debris gets in. If you wanna save even more money you can pull the third members out yourself and take them in loose. That's what I did and it cuts the labor in like half.

Pulling the rear looked like no problem but I don't know if I can do the front.

    Steps 1-19

    Cliff notes are

    Drain fluid
    Unbolt front driveshaft
    Unbolt LBJ and axle nut
    Remove CV axles
Remove 3 bolts holding the diff.

I've got this thread bookmarked: It has pictars! I'm going to see how much they quote me for having the thirds not pulled then ask for another with thirds pulled to see the difference in labor costs.

I just changed a cv for the first time and lost a good amount of diff fluid. Is that normal and should I too it off now?

Also how do you guys change them with Budbuilt skids? It prevented me from getting in there and I had to remove it. What a PITA!

Normal to lose fluid. I jack up the side I'm working on higher than the other. Just top it off.
Yes you have to remove the bb skid. I wouldn't call 7 bolts a pain in the ass, but between the taco, tundra, and 4runner I've changed axles out so many times it's second nature to me now.

Just the person I was hoping would respond. Thanks Jason. Ok I feel bad because I was working in my neighbors driveway so he has a nice oil stain now. It's 7 bolts but not fun to pull off. I was going to do it anyways to change my oil and replace the diff fluid this or next weekend.

BTW, pick n pull sells OEM cv's (if they have them) for $40 with a one year warranty. Not the greatest deal but not bad for OEM.

Any chance you want to post the dimensions of that panel? I'm having a hard time finding them posted and I've got some lexan that needs to get bent into shape.

I was heading out the house for a haircut and just stopped by for about 45 mins. I really just help set the camper and help pull stuff from the attic.

No worries, I've just been spending the weekend tinkering with my truck and working some bugs out (and washing it finally).

Grab a piece of paper or cardboard and cut it so it fits in the area you want to mount it while being big enough to have everything mounted.
