I got my ome882s and installed them tonight. I only got one side done as it was a lot bigger project than I planned. the problem is it seems they lifted the truck way more than 3 inches. the truck by the way is a 2004 Tacoma dc trd v6 4x4. I measured form the center hub to the fender and it gave me roughly 24 inches. I still have one side of the truck on a stand supporting the frame on the passanger side, the side I plan on doing next. so I don't know if this would contribute to the excessive height on the one side. also when I jack the finished side up by the arm and spin the tire I hear slight popping noises as the wheel rotates ? any thoughts or ideas.

What you hear is kind of normal because the 882s cause alot of droop. (I have those). Also they will settle in. Or trade for my spread broken in one's :D. But really they will settle down. Also remember you'll need an alignment afterwards, if they can't get it 100% you might need UCA's (click my sig link :D) but they should be able to get it right.

He can cause he is a prerunner. No cvs.

OP you probably just think you have over 3" since your old stock coils sagged a lot.

I agree with this. I put 882 with the top plate spacer and it measured out to a 5 inch lift in the front and a 4 inch in the back and its level. The stock suspension sagged a lot, so much that I had been asked many times if I had lowered it. Now I'm loving my OME kit. Only complaint is it rides a little stiffer than I thought it would.

I just got through getting 882's installed on my 2004 Tacoma Xtra cad 4x4 w/ 70K miles. I did have a 5mm spacer added to the drivers side though. Here are my pre- and post-install measurements from the center of the hub to the bottom of the fender flare:

    BEFORE:
    Front Left- 20 1/8 inches
    Front Right- 20 3/4 inches

    AFTER:
    Front Left- 23 1/2 inches
    Front Right- 24 1/2 inches

I also got the OME Dakar and the D6XL installed in the rear at the same time. Also I got the Nitrocharger shocks installed all around. If you want those measurements I can provide those as well (and the driveshaft numbers too).

ome Dakars in rear and ome 882's in front. 255 85 16's maxxis bighorns
WOW thanks for all the replies so fast, so I finished the other side today, torqued it all to spec. and took her for a ride at Hartman ( the 4x4 area behind the house) the popping noise is gone, I think it was making that noise because the suspension was at full droop when It was jacked up causing excessive cv angles. the 882's settled about half inch I really flexed em out as much as possible. I took the sway bar completely off to help them settle faster ( more flex) and it rides great, a little stiff but handles bigger bumps really well, especially at higher speeds. I am sitting at 23.5 inches from hub to fender in the front and 23 inchs from hub to fender in the back. (ome dakars). the only negative I can tell so far is that I lift one wheel a lot easier than I used to due to less available down travel on the front end. but other than that its great, sorry if im rambling just figured id fill you all in, I will post pics next week when I get my 255 85s on

I like the 882's Have less droop than with the stock springs, but over all I am pleased.

    Ummm...you have a 03 prerunner..that means no 4wd..

Ah you did a swap huh?

In which case,,you should NOT have the 882s on the 2nd setting on 5100s. That's why you have no down travel. You maxed out the shock. Plus I can't believe you are breaking cvs all the time
