The 2 inch aal should be enough with spindles only in the front...3.5 inches of lift is gunna sit ass high

looking to replace shocks and add spacer lift...I do not off road at all just like the height of a lift
OK so no need for blocks also in back...

OME 60091 Rear Shocks (pair) $190
    or

Bilstein 5100 Rear Shocks (pair) $166

which of the 2 shocks is better given the price?

1.25" spacers in front only, not needed on back, or I need two pairs of spacer 1 in fron and 1 in back?

    thanks again

I like the Bilsteins....shouldnt need blocks...I ran 3" in front and 1" in rear and sat level so 4 and 2 will be perfect

U have to have spacers in front to run the wheels...I would get them all around so it looks even

Ok thanks again...a few more questions but I swear I am almost done, just 6 more points of clarification and I think I will all set to place my order, I really appreciate the time you are spending to help me.

    1. Installing a 1" block though should get me that slight forward nose down lean that I would prefer though right?

    2. if I choose to do the 1" block in addition to the 2" aal, should I get the Bilstein/RCD 5100 Extended Rear Shocks (support 3"-4" lift) then, instead of the Bilstein 5100 Rear Shocks ?

    3. also would the u-bolts that come with the 1" block be long enough to support the 3" total lift (2" aal + 1" block)

    4. If I do go to 3" would the extended brake lines in the rear be the wise choice as opposed to trying to stretch the existing lines, or are the existing lines plenty long?

    5. (super lame question) having a 2013 do i have a 3 leaf spring or a 4 leaf spring?

    6. is axle wrap a serious concern with a 1" block? or is that anything I need to worry about?

If you are going to install a small block go with the 1.5. The 1.5 has a taper to it and the 1" doesn't.

he wants a 2" lift front and back...does not want to deal with coil overs or new UCA

i told him billstien 5100s front and back...that could adjust the front 2" and the rear 2"...was not sure does he also need a 2" aal? any other bolts or anything you can think he would need to add?

looking to replace shocks and add spacer lift...I do not off road at all just like the height of a lift

looks good that was i was thinking for him...but are new rear shocks necessary why not just use the existing rear shocks and buy

5100 fronts set them at 1.75
    1.5 rear aal

or are the stock shocks not long enough with the 1.5 rear aal? cost is only $305 that way...

2 questions regarding that kit...it states

"NOTE: Front Upper bushings and washers are not included from Bilstein in this part number, order separately if needed."

is that something he would need for install?

    and

"NOT RECOMMENDED FOR USE WITH SPACERS OR LIFT COILS UNLESS LOWEST (STOCK) SETTING IS USED."

that still gives a 2" lift in the front on the 2" setting, correct?

also he wants to run 285/70/17 on the stock sport rims but he does not want to trim anything...will he rub with those wheels and should he stay down at 265/70/17?

or will the spidertraxx spacers (which i think he would need, please correct me if I'm wrong) be enough space to get him clearance in the wheel well to run the 285s?

He still needs and alignment as well after install correct?

thanks again...I am will not hijack this thread with anymore small lift questions:D

He has to go 3" to clear 285s without trimming. ..he has to run wheel spacers to use stock wheels

Longer shocks arent required but are recommended

I'm running the 4" block and I must say it rides a lot better than I thought it would......granted its still rougher than stock but you have to expect that......I do not have the ext brake lines and haven't had any problems. I keep my eye on them and they seem to have plenty of room to move. I don't do a lot of offroading and really the only time the ass moves in over huge speed bumps in my neighborhood haha. I mean maxtrac sells the kit with the 4" blocks with no ext brake lines and I'm sure they tested their own kit out before selling it to the public.....I'm sure it's not a bad idea to get longer ones but for a street queen like mine I guess it's not a must have.

Stock brake lines were designed to accommodate the down travel of the factory packs (where the length of the lines come into play). When you modify the rear, you're extending the brake lines down further.

Runner 4" blocks in the back with stock lines would be a concern of mine if I were you, but thats just me. Not sure if you ever us all the down travel in the rear, but if so perhaps you are tugging on those lines pretty good.

BTY, doesn't Maxtrac's 4" kit include 2" blocks in the back.

sounds good...I am new to all this and have a lot to learn I will be happy to take any amount of advice anyone wants to share with me :D

    regarding a 5100 and 1.5 aal

toytec not that I have to buy from there states

""NOTE: Front Upper bushings and washers are not included from Bilstein in this part number, order separately if needed."

is that something he would need for install?

    and

"NOT RECOMMENDED FOR USE WITH SPACERS OR LIFT COILS UNLESS LOWEST (STOCK) SETTING IS USED."

on the 1.75 gstting i would get 1.75 lift in front w/o spaces or lift coils right?

so i am trying to verify...if we get 5100s for the fron set them to 1.75 and get a 1.5 rear aal...we will get my brother in law just short of a 2" all around lift?

also Toyomatt, why would you recommend getting the rear 5100 as well? just wondering what they offer over the stock rear shocks...thanks again everyone
