Sorry if this has been brought up? Did a search on fog lights and came up with 14 pages of not what I was looking for
My question... does Tacoma factory installed fogs have an indicator light inside the vehicle that tells you they are on? My fog light switch is lit all the time. The dealer says not, but thats pretty common for them to make customers go away.
Every vehicle I've owned with factory fogs has always had an indicator letting you know they are on... thanks!

Nope, mine neither. I looked at converting the green headlight indicator for use as a fog light indicator but too much delicate work. (it looks as though I would have to be re-wiring the gauges some)

Thanks for the info! Good to know that the dealer told the truth:rolleyes:

Sounds like its time for a mod... tap an LED from the light circuit, similar to a car alarm tiny bulb, or such and run it to the dash panel in a out of the way place:)
BTW... 4 days of owning this thing and liking it so far! looking forward to tons of mods.... wallet pending of course

Yeah, some kinda indicator would be nice... I mean, I can tell the headlights are on, cuz, well, I can see in front of the truck... Although, I just leave the fogs on and let them come on/go off with the key so I don't worry about it anymore.

I found out something about factory fog lights by accident (many good discoveries) anyway, the switch on the factory fog light is depressed about 1/8" when on and level with the sides of the panel. When off, it protrudes about 1/8". Never noticed it before but was checking to see about adding some type of pilot light or something. Anyway, my problem is solved!

I just leave it pushed in due to the fact that the fog lights only turn on with headlights. Time for some Bull Bar lights...

You can fix that with one wire. Then they will come on whenever the switch is pressed in and the key is on. Check the link in my sig.

I have one of those for my ABS kill switch! :D Not so much because I want to know when it's off or on, but because I don't want to accidentally flip it on. Probably get another one when I get more lights on the bumper for the same reason.
