PSUTaco85 ended up having his aftermarket plate bumpers made to accomodate the body lift.

5100's for the 2nd Gens only have 4 settings, 0 (stock height), .85, 1.75 and 2.5. The more you preload, the stiffer the ride will be, especially if you have a TRD Off Road since they have progressive coils. I would suggest figuring out how much lift you want to gain and find a coil that will get you there. Let the coil do the lifting rather than preload the stock coil. It will result in a better ride in the end. OME coils are on the lower end of the scale as far as spring rate.

All-Pro Expos will give you closer to 4" of lift unloaded, the standard All Pro pack will put you closer to 2.5 - 3", similar to the Dakars. If you go with the longer shocks, make sure you cycle your suspension to make sure you'll hit the bump stops before you bottom out the shock. That setup might require longer bumps.

I didn't know it was just the Off Road model that had the progressive springs. If I get the 5100's, I'm probably getting the 885 coils too. So the ride shouldn't be too stiff with those?

The SR5 and TRD Sport models have the same coils and they're linear, the Off Road coils are progressive so when you preload them, they stiffen up in a hurry. With 885's, the ride should be nice. They are still stiffer than stock, but the 5100's will do a good job dampening the coils. OME 885's are only slightly stiffer than stock and still softer than Eibach coils (which need to be preloaded to get to 3" of lift).

For the rear I have the stock shocks, not extended. When I get the 5100's for the rear, I'll need to extend the bump stop too right?

Depends on which ones you get. The standard 5100's are fine, the extended version, you should cycle the suspension without the shock to get collapsed and extended lengths to determine whether or not you'll need to extend the bump stops. I went with a short lift to avoid those issues (UCA's and extended bumps and brake lines), you might get away with just using the stock bumps. How you intended to use the truck would be a factor also. Wheelers makes superbumps that are reasonably priced if you end up needing them.

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
Don't let OZ read you talking about "might get away with", LOL. We went back and forth about this issue in the OME thread. I agree with you, 2" of lift doesn't necessarily require them.

The lift I ordered is a 2" lift also and I went that route to avoid some of the issues associated with a 3" lift. I also didnt want to preload the springs. I did that with the torsion bars on my GMC and hated the ride

Meh, if you measure and things work, no sense in spending money to replace parts that don't need replacing. I actually bought LR UCA's when I did my lift and didn't end up installing them since the stock ones work just fine.

The bump stop thing should probably be checked out though, especially if you go with the extended length 5100's. They aren't meant to fit on a Tacoma and having the shock bottom out could break the shock or send the stem through the bed if you bottom out hard enough. Here's the thing though, think about how substantial the Dakars or All Pro leaf packs are and now try and think of when you would actually manage to bottom them out... I'm sure people manage to do it, but I'd also imagine it takes a hell of a hit to do so.

I can't wait to see the Ironman lift, it seems like a nice setup!
