ive seen that a lot ppl have the trd sport with the 17's asking this question but havent come across an answer for 16's. so....who here has a trd off road with a 2 inch lift and found the largest tire to slap on them 16's? i was thinking about going with a 275/75/16 but the tread of my factory tires is already close to the upper control arm and id rather not put wheel spacers on there if i can help it

I dont think any manufacturers make 275/75/16. I would go with 255/85/16 and you might have some minor triming

id rather not trim anything lol im guesssing at this point the 265/75/16 would just be the best way to go? id like to have a beefier looking tire since the stock size looks too small now with the lift

A 265/75/16 will look nice for sure.

Get a nice all terrain like a duratrac or BFG a/t

265/75/16 is about as big as you should go if your set on no trimming, it will look nice with 2" of lift

If you want to keep your stock wheels and not install wheel spacers, then 265/75R16 will be the largest tire size for you. If you go any wider on the stock wheels you'll likely rub on the upper control arm.

Here's an example of 1.75" - 2" lift that we did with 265/75R16 on 16x8" 0mm offset Konig Countersteer Offroads:

^We did not trim anything on this truck, and there was no rubbing. The tires are Goodyear Duratracs - LT265/75R16 Load Rating C.

I've also installed 16x8" 0mm offset, 17x9" 0mm offset and 18x9" 0mm offset wheels with 285/75R16, 285/70R17 and 285/65R18 tires respectively all on Tacomas with Bilstein 5100's set to 1.75" - 2.0" of lift, stock springs, and all other suspension parts stock. Only minor removal/trimming of the plastic fender liner and over fender was necessary (invisible when looking straight on at the truck).

I have Nitto Terra Grapplers in 265/75/16's on Konig Countersteers with no lift and the mudflaps removed from in front of and behind the front wheels on my 2012 TRD Sport!!! It doesn't rub at all!!!

Here is a pic of what it looks like. I have the rear mud flaps removed too, but that is just personal preference not because of the tires!!

Was looking around on tire rack...again lol probably been on there at least 20 times in the year I've had my truck and started reading reviews on the grabber at2. Definitely thinking about getting these instead of the bfg tko. Apparently they handle and perform just as good if not better than the bfg and they're cheaper. What do u guys think?

I just picked up a set of these from tire rack for my truck 265/70/17 grabber at2, $660 delivered. I will get them on my truck in a couple weeks and let you know how they ride, but like you said a lot of good reviews not only on the tire rack site but on this forum.

did u get the P or LT load range? im probably going with LT becuz they usually tend to last longer and have stiffer sidewalls

I went with the standard load. $80 more is not too bad but I could not see a reason to justify spending the money for what I use my truck for.

And on the subject of the lt tires lasting longer I'm not too sure about that. The grabber at2 has a 60k mike warranty-excludes lt sizes... Something to think about.
