Hey everyone, I'm a new member and this is my first post. I saw a couple years back that some of you guys were working on converting a per runner to a 4x4. I'd like to do the same thing. Just about everyone I've talked to in town has said just buy a new truck... But that won't work for me, I love my truck and I'm gonna keep it. Plus I like a challenge and a good project. Maybe I'm just being stupid, but I'd like to know what it would take, and any advice anyone would have to offer would be much appreciated.

    Tanks for your time.

My advice after doing it.... DO IT! haha just shop around for parts that was the hardest part for me because no one had tacoma parts

    Heres a list

    New Transmission w/transfer case
Front drive shaft and a new rear drive shaft
    Front diff
New spindles complete w/hubs for ease of assembly
    Cv axles
    4x4 transmission mount
    Interior plastics & rubber boot

I also bought all new ball joints, all new fluids, and wire to wire up my light

Haha! Awesome! Thanks for the tips, I really appreciate it. I know it'll take some time to collect all the parts I need, but I'll be sure to post some I process pics as I do it.

    Thanks again!
