Im considering the TC +2" LT kit for my 05 4x4 DD. Hoping to get input and a few questions answered by those with experience.

My first questions seems silly but like the title says.. What size coilovers are you running with the +2" LT kits?

For the rear im thinking SUA kit like giant but could i keep it under the bed?
Anyone had experience with this kits? it advirtises 15" travel w/ 33"s w/ stock bedsides.
    http://www.definedengineering.com/products.html

How long of rear shock should i use? i will be going with king w/ res w/o bypass.

Read the sticked threads and use the search function. There are several threads that discuss the defined kit.

Total Chaos specifies the correct part number for a shock that works with their kit. I wouldn't try and use a shock that you have on the shelf because you probably won't get the most from your kit.

You can run a Giant , DMZ, or Defined kit under the bed but you won't get the travel numbers that the kit is capable of. There are multiple people on here with these kits and many different rear shock lengths. Every bed cage or shock hoop is going to be different.

There is a ton of info in the various threads as well.

I'm running the defined kit with shock hoops and kings built to spec for the hoops, i have 13" of travel in the rear, may not be that much compared to some but it works well for me!

    Kool pretiate the info man

Ah yes that was the defined kit i posted, sorry so many bookmarks lol
i also stumbled across this "sky manf." kit,
    http://www.sky-manufacturing.com/new/detaproduct.php?id=271

Is it meant to run under axel? Since hoops underbed wont get the full #s with the 3 major kits, i was thinking this might be ok.

i noticed they dont offer shock hoops, did u buy or make some? im hearing TC discontinued the 2.0 5lug ones due to failure since they wernt linkd

i also stumbled across this "sky manf." rear LT kit, with 56" spring instead of the 64" deavers.
    http://www.sky-manufacturing.com/new/detaproduct.php?id=271

They call it a rear LT kit but not SUA. Is it meant to run over axel?
Thinking since hoops underbed wont get the full #s with the 3 major kits, id go with this 54"SKY kit, ditch the 5100s, find shock hoops to use w/ a 2.5" king piggy( maybe 12")?

I would stay away from that Sky manf kit if I were you. Relocating the front hangars is required which is a lot of work that is not easily transferable with another kit. I also wouldn't run a kit that's not proven by multiple people and all issues are worked out.

People are pulling 10" of travel with All Pro standard 3" leaf springs and extended shocks in stock locations. Or Defined Eng like nofords08 and getting 13" of travel with relocating to SUA but not moving front or rear hangars.

I wouldn't move your front or rear hangars unless your sure that's the kit your going to stick with. Do you have the fab skills to do this yourself?

I bought Krish's old defined kit, but I'm deployed, so I haven't seen it yet. I had family in the area pick it up for me.

Hangers stay, ok. thanx for pointing that out. I agree on the race proven thing. How do you feel about relocating shock hoops like BAMF. i was thinking upper but i didnt consider the lower one on the axel

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/ba...-m-f-2nd-gen-rear-shock-relocation-kit-7.html

I dont have fab skills, im looking to stay primarily bolt on, but if the BAMF hoop is all the fab needed, a buddy has a garage.

Right now im leaning toward TC +2" LT Front, Defined SUA Rear w/ BAMF rear hoops.

Have connect @ king but need to figure out what length shocks i need now lol. Only suggestion iv got is to measure when everything else is installed.

There are may be a few running the BAMF towers with the Defined kit but there isn't much info out there on their experiences I've seen or read about. Keeping the shocks under the bed and going SUA is a challenge. It's more experimentation/hassle than a 62" SUA leaf pack from DMZ that is proven to work with a simple bed cage and 16" shocks.

If you want more than 10" of travel but want to stay under bed then go Defined. If you want a full LT rear go DMZ or comparable 62" kit but get ready to cut your bed up.

Cantilever is an option as well to research. It allows you to get max travel under the bed but its complicated and has to be set-up correctly. 62" kits are simple and less hassle/expense.
