My 95 had them right below the vents and directly above the stereo. Never ever got used. Piss poor placement.

I just opened the door and looked in, I didn't sit in it. I test drove a Frontier in 2007 before buying my Tacoma and agree, I didn't think the interior was very comfortably but thought it looked nice. Still though, if you're in the market for that type of dress package, you simply can't get it in a Tacoma. We'll see how his holds up, it'll be towing pretty heavily most of the summer.

You guys have any bad experience or info about the AP standard leaf pack? Most people seem to go with the dakars but I've been eyeing the AP for a couple reasons. One they give a little more lift it seems. Two I seem to be buying into their "more leaves smoother ride" statement. I rarely have a load in the bed and want as smooth as ride as possible as opposed to a large load capacity. Im really torn between either dakars or AP standards but need to pull the trigger ASAP. For starts my bushings sound like SHIT! every time I hit the brakes they creak now unless they're wet. Also my tires are pretty much done so I wanna have the lift parts ready for the 285s! Which I'll be asking your guys opinions on as well....duratracs...toyos....etc. :)

How much lift do you want out of them? Since you don't load the truck down, I'd avoid the Expedition pack. That thing is meant for 3" of lift with several hundred pounds in the bed so I can't imagine they ride nice when unloaded and would likely give you closer to 4+" of lift unloaded.

I like the dakars but i never really looked into the all pro springs. Your a little late but all pro was offering free shipping for orders placed during the weekend :/ i really like the duratracs but those toyo at2s look awesome, and a little less aggresive than duratracs so i would guess the on road manners might be a little better.

Pugga- Ya im looking at the AP standard pack which is 3" I believe while the dakars seem to be listed at 2.5" of lift. I also have the longer 5100 rears shocks meant for 3-4" I believe. Toytec said I'd be ok to run the dakars with my rears though.....I just may want to expedite getting some superbumbs or timbrens to be safe.

Evan- Ya I have toyos now and love them......on road handling are great and ive gotten 55k outta mine......they're ready for a change but still have some tread left. I may want something more aggressive to be more cable offroading but then again I have a sport with no locker or armor....so its gonna be light wheeling for sure.

Whick toyos do you have on there now? I think the toyo open country AT2 are more recent and the redesigned the tread pattern. I think dakars are listed as 2.75", most access cab get 3" of lift easy with them tho. Most people end up over 25" center of hub to fender flare before any settling. But ya i think the all pros provide a little more lift. I dont really know of many people running the all pros, im sure plenty of people are but the only person i can think of is john (hard2kill) and i think he has expos, heres his build if you want to ask about them http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-builds/172734-project-all-terrain.html

Haha whatup, where have you been? Ill grab those off of you evetually lol, hopefully everyone will take another trip to the RI spot again soon. Im not looking for new tires, im not one of these crazy guys who switches tires every 6 months :stirthepot: Bill is looking for tires, but im glad you cleared that up, i thought the AT2s were completely different.

I have the AT......they came brand new with the truck when I bought it. Great tire and after hearing Flyboy say the AT2 has a tougher side wall it sounds like I may have my choice:D. 55k on them and still ticking. Quiet too and since I do 99%.....hoping to make it 92ish% on road driving that's important.(unless of course I put some bumps in that bitch and just turn up the volume) I think im just gonna grab the dakars.....off to toytec for an online purchase me thinks.

Will I need anything else?..... extended brake lines? Prob should go ahead and grab superbumps while im at it too.

Check out shipping prices. Down south motorsports charges $500 shipped to your door, which might be cheaper than toytec. Dakars dont include rear bushings from OME. If you order from toytec they will supply them, DSM doesn't. I dont have extended brake lines, but most people recomend them, especially in your case having longer shocks, my OME shocks are a limit straps right now :anonymous: so i dont need break lines yet. Same thing about bumpstops, i dont need them but your shocks are longer. Do you know what the extended/ compressed lengths are? Plus i removed the 3rd lead on my dakars for a more level look.

You will either want the OME CB drop or axle shims to troubleshoot possible driveshaft vibrations, you may even want both in case one option doesnt work. If you get axle shims you will need centering pin collar extension thingys, i think toytec sells them, psutaco describes it better http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/suspension/144224-dakar-installation-axle-shims.html

Ya I gotta break down the toytec discount and bushings vs the DSM shipping costs....I think toytec wants 126 for shipping so they might win by a C-hair not sure yet.......Im gonna leave the pack whole as I want rake or I might put the toytec top plate on there as well for a higher level look. Im gonna grab some shims and CB drop too....thanks.

I think i paid $8 a piece for the bushings from toyota and there is 4, so that means toytec may be cheaper becasue they are listed at $400 i think, and save you the hassle of pressing the bushings in. Oh ya dont forget u-bolts, dont know if they are included or not.
