Ya im not ganna argue that. Its not the smartest thing to buy shocks and struts and sell them 6 months later. Dont get me wrong, the OME stuff is great, it actually rides pretty soft and comfortable most of the time, which i didnt expect after hearing everyone say its a stiff ride. How many times have you heard "it rides stiff but its better than stock"...no, only a inch of downtravel does not equate to a good ride. When we lift these tucks we are sacrificing down travel, and it would be nice to has a front suspension that compensates for that somewhat. The OME setup is awesome offroad at slow speeds, cant complain. On road my truck handles really well for being lifted and the leaf springs really soak up the bumps. I just dont like how the shocks handle potholes and bumps at high speed.
Anyway after sleeping on it, i think the guy is asking to much for those used icons. To many miles and to much rust. If he would take $500 i would do it, then i would have them rebuilt and maybe upgraded.

 

I remembered that colinb17 is running extended travel coilovers with LR UCAs. He says the UCAs have plenty of travel, and they are not maxxed out at full droop. Skids are a good plan though. I really want to start doing some harder trails.

 

Morimoto H1's with upgraded XB35 bulbs.

The LR UCAs will be fine with extended travel C/O's.

Yeah, I'm not setting up the truck for high speed abuse, so DT is not a real concern for me.

Can't fault you for pulling the trigger if the price was right. I would too.

Still need DT for slow speed stuff. Keeps the tires on the ground so you can keep moving forward.

Went for a nice canoe trip on the lake with Sarah. It was fun!

 

Step 1, secure media blaster and 30 gal compressor.
Step 2, prep work area.
Step 3, hang sliders.

Tomorrow I blast.
