Instead of pm'ing everyone just post it in here. I am interested in doing one to my 2000 as well, just not sure how to go about attaching the mesh.

Haha that's cool with me too, ill just copy and paste what I sent them in a pm

"Here is what I did for this one, kind of hard to see in picture but ill explain , I left tabs where the supports are and just screwed the mesh into the plastic grille supports ,
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=334804&cat=500
Here is a closer look at the bottom middle tab which is the hardest to get right
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/334803/limit/recent
I just left a tab and screwed it in , took me a few times to get it right because the bottom lip thing tends to want to flex, but if you get it right , it will stay straight, as for the holes , I just use the plastic weld type method and bondo to leave it smooth . The whole grille took me about 4 days to complete. It's pretty easy, it just takes a some time since you have to let the bondo dry , I seem many people do it the Fiberglass repair method but I think the plastic welding and bondo is easier and makes for a lot cleaner look on the back and no mess
If you need help on it, just ask and ill gladly help"
I also forgot to tell you guys in the pm that I also used zip ties, didn't really need them but adds for extra support

Bought some Hellwig 550s to supplement my Wheeler's leaf pack, which is getting tired under the constant weight of the cap and the bed mat, and gets some bro lean when towing my little trailer, which has neglible tongue weight. A bit disappointed in the pack, frankly.

Nice. Where did you get your mesh?

On another note, I bought 2 10" cvr's, a 400w 4 channel rockford amp, and a 2 channel 1000w sony xplode amp today for $180. Hooked them up on 2 channels of the rockford amp (i know, i know. it was already mounted to the box and wired and I just wanted to make sure they still worked) and they bumped on just 100w each. Maybe this weekend I'll swap the amps and put the rockford on the stock door and rear speakers. Wonder how long they'll last... haha

I actually didn't get the mesh used in that one because the guy just sent me a grille and the mesh and I just satoshied it, but I do have a whole sheet of one with the same design but instead of it being aluminum , it's steel

Ah I just need to find a local place to get some. I wonder if Lowes or Home Depot would carry anything?

I tried looking for some there , but all they have is the chicken wire looking stuff, I have a whole sheet of the steel one with the same hole design as the picture, I can probably sell you a piece for the grille for cheap if you'd like, I have plenty , you do need a grinder to cut it though
You can have a piece for 20 plus shipping

I've used body filler for little projects like that. I've never done it to my taco but other vehicles I've owned. Fill it, sand it, hit it with the bed liner. If you were to go this route just make sure you don't see any cracks when letting the filler dry. A painters spatula would help even it out when applying filler. Sand it down till its smooth and even with the rest of the body. Just my opinion, GL!!!

Thanks man I'll keep that in mind. Is body filler the same as bondo? Haha sorry for the noob question.

Some lift, some armor, some scratches..
This is my plan in the very near future. I too was a little disappointed with the weight capacity (and the fact that they are rusty all over after just one year) When I get the aal I'll prob break down the packs, sand, paint, and re-install..
