Well I only needed an LCA which I found at a junk yard for 40 bucks. Compare that to $4k for the LT kit plus towing it down there plus the 2 days of school I would've had to miss, it was kinda a no brainer haha. I initially thought the damage was much worse than it ended up being.

But someday, it's coming. And a turbo

Thanks! Yours is coming along nicely. What are your plans for the front?

I like the sound of that! :D

Thanks for the kind words, Pete, but...old man?! I'm a firm believer of "age is just a number." :)

EDIT: Btw, there are a few options out there for a spacer lift kit for our 5-luggers...

    Fat Bob's Garage: http://4x4.fatbobsgarage.com/toyota-tacoma-2wd-5-lug-suspension-275-lift-kit--2005-present-p7611.aspx

    ReadyLift SST Kit: http://www.readylift.com/p-115-toyota-tacoma-5-lug-275-lift-kit-installation.aspx

I had the ReadyLift prior to the TC UCA mid-travel kit and got it soon after the released the kit. This was before Fat Bob's started making their kit and it looks like the Fat Bob's one is the best bang for your buck. It even includes rear replacement shocks.

You had some gold wheels before LT if I remember right? Why'd you ditch those?

Installed the FB's lift and new wheels (15" vision soft 8's wrapped in 32 11.5 R15 Falken AT's), got the grill color matched, plastiderped the badges, gas door, and front valence, bedlined the rear bumper, painted the hubs, and took a break from it all....for now  Next up: REGEAR!! :D

    No one? I know you've seen Kelson's.

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-builds/17539-kelsons-reg-cab.html

I like it. It has a muscle car look to it.

Thanks for this info. I'm at a crossroads with my truck right now and this information will help. I like what you're doing with yours.

    That looks awesome.

That's kind of how I'm looking at it also. I use my truck in many different ways and like its current ride and towing ability. I don't want to mess that up.

I like your picture. Very nice seeing a truck doing what it was made to do.

    Thanks bro.
It rides alright stiffer up front do to the xii coils and only having a 4 banger the rear is not bad I just nip the pumpkin on the gas tank Crossmember from time to time haha it rides better than expected for how low it is but I can live with it rides 1000x better than sitting on bumpstops I was holding 110 last night on the freeway on dips and handles pretty Dayum good better being stiff then all swaying and saggin

Wanted to run 15s. Tires for 15" wheels are cheaper. The 5-lug bronze Konigs are now for sale.

    Haha, no problem.

With a spacer lift, you risk binding your ball joints. I've never had any issues, but at the same time, I never did anything too crazy knowing I risk binding the ball joints. Just stuck to mild dirt trails.

Didn't even know Pro Comp made a lift kit for our trucks. For the longest time I thought it was just ReadyLift and Fat Bob's.

I'd like to keep the shocks sold as a package with the AAL and leaf pack, but if I don't get any interest, I'll PM you.

    Thanks!

Looks like someone's got some work to do. :)

I loved that kit when I had it. Worth the $$$.

Yeah lol... I didn't know I had to weld a piece. It's going to change my install time haha..

Yeah, you have to cut a bit off right where the stock bumps hit. I've heard of a few people that just cut it off and left it at that without welding the plate in, but if you know how to weld or know somebody that welds, I would just get it done. Congrats on the kit!
