Well..considering you got 6 years out of it I think ats pretty good..

Correct. Well..sorta. Still made my optima but they changed location to Mexico or so,ething. More and more lemons from them now

The die hard platinums are just rebranded Odessey 1500s. They aren't 100% the same but pretty much and work great I've read.

Did you change out your battery terminal ends? My optima red top lasted 3 years. Currently have a die hard platinum for 6 years.

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
Are you asking about the old battery or this new one? I didn't change the terminal. I just got rid of the top post clamp and use side post bolt instead.

When the company repainted my topper under warranty (real shitty job btw) they put badges back on my topper.

I just let it bake in the 95 degree sun and peeled them off today. No need for goo gone at all. Just a little bit of a fingernail polish job and it's all gone.

Got the flagpole base installed. Had to unbolt the bed and slide it back for enough space between the bed and the cab to bolt it on. Thanks to dad (Sullyman) for the help also!

Toyota badges are tough. I'm sure someone did it out there somewhere, but I haven't seen anyone debadge a truck without needing to clean up the adhesive after. Goo gone is just a solvent like nail polish remover, but I'm a guy so I don't have that shit. I used a heat gun to heat them first.

Yeah when I debadge my truck after 11 or 12 years, lots of goo gone, elbow grease and eventual polishing and waxing.

No, they used the most absurd weatherstripping I've ever seen.

As soon as I have a way to suspend my topper from my rafters or something else, I'm going to do it right.

Today I did a long overdue ATF drain and fill using 4 quarts of genuine Toyota fluid that I bought online for decent price..

It's super hot in Cali right now so I'm gonna delay my transmission cooler install for another weekend. That will give me another 4 quart round of another ATF drain and fill.

Yea thats some nasty looking stuff there, how many miles on that fluid anyhow. I had 160,000 on mine before i did one and it didn't look anything like that.

I already sealed the gap between the fore bed rail and two side rails. Those are the main culprits for me. However they used 1/2" (or maybe 9/16") thick weather stripping. I've never seen anything so thick used before. And they did an amateur job (new kid was installing the topper on my truck). So at that leading edge he doubled up the weather stripping in ways that makes it so the topper actually can't even rest on the rails even if the clamp is right there (hard to explain).

As for the rear corners, I'm going to do this: http://www.bajataco.com/camper/camper_seal/index.htm

You should be safe with front tires down. If the rear tires are down you will burn up the Tcase because the driveshaft/tcase output are spinning but there isn't any oil slinging becuase tcase and or tranny are in neutral. With the front tire down you are disconected from the drive shaft/ tcase so not an issue
