Agreed, like I said, I am prepared to buy the undercover mount, but was considering spending the extra for a complete bumper. But I think for my needs, I will probably stick with the undercover, unless something good comes along between now and then. Still saving a bit more for the mount, couldn't pass up the deal I got on a brand new Super Winch LP10000.

 

I'll be honest, after really looking inside of an iron cross bumper, and I am really not impressed! Nothing was symetrical, the metal was poorly finished, the welds were boogers, but they give them lots of room for adjustments, and bury the crap with 1/4" or thicker rhino lining.

I know some have mentioned the angles on the winch mount, but I am really liking this one for some reason.

 

Pelfreybilt and Bruteforce both make a hybrid that can handle a winch

Elite offroad bump and sliders
powdercoat is shite...looked like shite from the beginning and oxidized within a month. Dont bother ordering your stuff from elite powdercoated. Order it bare and have finished or finish it yourself.

been a year and 4 months, still havent gotten the bumper support brackets i paid for. And ive bugged him about them over and over and over.

My sliders didnt have the kickouts I requested.

Overall decent products, shitty service and organization. Tim seems like a nice guy, so i dont like to bust his balls too much. but, if i knew then what i know now, i would have gotten my stuff somewhere else.

 

I had the exact opposite experience with Elite.

My p/c still looks great over a year & a half being on the truck.

 

Probably a dumb question, but what's a p/c? or should I say, what brand?

 

P/C is powder coat abbreviated...

I have an Elite Off-Road front plate bumper same as drarin but do not have the same issues he unfortunately did.

My Elite is aluminum and weighs somewhere around 50lbs.

 

This is the way to go. One of the best priced bumpers out and the quality is very high. I paid just under $900 for my hybrid shipped to me across the country and I only waited 5 weeks from time of start of the build . Talk to billy for a few mins and u will see he actually gives a fuck about his product.

Just as a comparison ..... My buddy wrecked his 04 4runner so he ordered a Demello front plate bumper. It took 11 weeks to get to him from time of his order. The design looks really good but the quality of the build is very slack. Exterior plates are like 1/8" steel and there are numerous welds, especially the welds holding the hoop on and tying the outside plates together, that look like balled up slugs. I'll just say I was not very impressed. Then he tells me he paid almost $1600 for it. Haha I told him to ship that bitch back cause he got fucked.

Guys...I'm really digging the road armor front and rear bumpers. The one I really like is showing to be from 2006-2011, while my Baja is a 2013. Does anyone have this bumper on a 12-13 model?

The previous page before this one has some comments on that bumper. Not alot of fans of it on here but it's your money.

 

Not at all... The whole thing is 1/4" aluminum plate. I've pulled and/or been an anchor point for several recoveries with zero issues.

I also took out a trailer hitch on a suburban the day after I first installed it.

I paid around 1K total.

 

Thanks Grimm Ill take a look. I was going to just get a guard but it seems those are useless and cause more extensive damage than if it wasn't there.

 

Oh nice! Hmmm well I know aluminum is strong but its also very malleable so I just figure it would dent pretty easy even being 1/4". And that price is def cheaper then I thought. That's cool
