Don't bother unless u do it right with retros. They throw light in on coming traffics eyes. And from personal experience hids can b a huge pain in the ass with not turning in half the time to ballasts going out.

You can get some cheap eBay housings and throw some in. But they aren't very efficient and blind everyone in front of you.

Just get a light bar and some aftermarket lights.

Or look at getting some roundeye head lights. Big improvement over stock.

Well, MY HID's are amazing. When done right, and when the components are purchased from a reputable source, they usually turn out just the same. Too hard to diagnose you say??? Well, I'm just spit balling here but why don't you try and take the bulb from your driver side, and put it in your passenger side :GASP: If you don't know what that will diagnose, maybe you shouldn't be doing things to your truck in the first place.

X2, I love my HID's. I just bought the cheap kit off ebay. I did replace the ballast's with good quality ones. 3 years no problems! The bulbs dont go bad its the ballasts. Great for seeing deer/elk on the road.

Well you could wait 2 years like I did but its much easier to remember what mods you do if you post it to your build immediately. Haha.

And about your lights, I'd recommend retrofitting them. I'm biased obviously but it's the best way to go. For everyone on the road.
