I just had the TSB done yesterday and left the dealer a very happy camper. At first they wanted me to prove that there was an issue with the truck..like load up the bed and take them for a ride, but then I printed up the TSB document from this site and gave them the numbers. They then just ordered the parts and set me up with a service appointment.:)
I don't have the TRD package, but am trying to upgrade it myself....I have been pricing out the Bilstiens for it...but luckily have yet to buy them ...that is because when they do the TSB, they threw on the same Bilsteins as if it was a TRD package....FREE UPGRADE ON SHOCKS....I new I was getting an extra rear leaf put in, but the shocks were a total surprise...I figured that they would have just put in some strong no-name shocks instead.

It was funny because I was the first TSB, for the Tacoma suspension, that this dealer has done....ever
:) I spoke to the mechanic and he was pretty blasted away about the whole event...sort of happy that I was getting something moore out of his "BOSS"

Truck rides about the same and sits a little higher...goods news as a prelude to next weeks lift...

I haven't tried looking into it yet, but I would like to. Is there some sort of paperwork that we can take into the dealer when we go in?

This is the same response I got from my "service advisor". We should start a thread with list of dealers that have done the TSB. I'd prefer the dealer to be familiar with it and have experience doing it. I've seen too many threads where the dealer screwed up the TSB somehow.

Anyone had it done around Charlotte NC? :)

TSB x 2 because first TSB leaf springs broke
I got it done in January, Bilsteins & 4-leaf plus full allignment, rides like brand new. I put 2 50lb sandbags in the back because it's higher now and it rides/feels like a brand new truck, very solid and not bouncy w/ the sand.

Well, I took mine to the dealer today to schedule an appointment (Tues April 1, 2008). I also took some measurements from the ground to the top of each wheel well, the top center of my skid plate, and the top of the center step of the rear bumper. We'll see how it turns out.

    HELLISH TSB experience

I have a 4X4 Tacoma TRD dbl Cab. I got my dealer to install the TSB after I had put on my 5100's. They told me that I would get all new shocks so i showed them on their own TSB sheet that the TRD does NOT get shock upgrades. Plus I told them I don't want my new 5100's off.

Well they called after 8 hours and said that the u bolts were rusted so it was going to take an additional day. Did I mention the truck is brand new??? I don't understand how the ubolts would be so rusted.

We are not done. So 30 hours after I dropped it off I call them up. They say there just finishing up putting on the new shocks. I said they aren't suppose to put on new shocks on TRD trucks. The man said O my mistake I mean new springs "THEY ARE NOT TAKING OFF THE SHOCKS". 20 hours later I come to pick it up, and yep, the little bastards took my 5100's off and put on the old shocks. So I pointed out once again on the TSB where it says my truck was not to get new shocks.

So I'm sitting here without a truck waiting for them to reinstall them.

Anyways I was nice but let them know I wasn't happy.
I'm just venting! That's the reason for this post

If your ever in Rexburg, Idaho and need your Toyota or Dodge serviced, Don't go to STONES TOYOTA DODGE dealer.

That's a strange combination and I would try to avoid them based solely on their name :D
