I'm running a Airraid Intake, AFE TB Spacer, AFE Catback and threw on a Doug Thorley "Pipe Bomb" Y-Pipe yesterday which was by far my most noticeable SOTP gain. Truck is running great and I happy with it. Throttle response is much better. You wont find large HP gains but can fine increased responsiveness and driveability for sure.

I say do a URD or Doug Thorley Pipe Bomb next. Got mine on Amazon for $321 shipped with next day delivery

Good info and then there is bad info. I think you know who you are. Now as far as the headers go i have been reading about the Doug's then i came across something called "shorty headers". Does anyone have any experience with those? Also if i could fit a Tundra in my garage and close it i would. I have a new build so its a no go

the reason you're receiving "bad" info is because this question has been asked dozens of times already, in fact probably with the same wording. if you had taken the time to use the search function you would have found them and your answer.

you can't get cost effective power gains without forced induction. simple and plain.

    "60 HP"

Make a sticker of that and you will be adding "60 hp" to your truck.;)

Ok, seriously, just start with the header if ambitious, or CAI if less so. The hp will be a journey through all kinds of posts on TW. Whatever you do, some will agree with it, many wont.

Built for maximum low end torque, tooter II.VII intake manifold spacer, LCE long tube header, Injen long tube intake, 2,900 rpm torque peak.
$1,800 total for intake, exhaust, wheels, and tires got gains on the dyno of 22% more hp and 14% more torque out of my little 2.7. :)

Clearly not to you. But you aren't everyone. To add to that, these mods not only complement forced induction, but individually don't cost a near the amount of a F/I unit up front.

You can add a part at a time, and save the wallet from massive shock, while still knowing an near idea of what the end result gains will be. Due to the dynos people have done, in the compilation thread I posted.

"It's not worth it," is purely subjective and relative to ones own desires. Not to be influential on the person who is looking for facts to be able to make an educated decision.

Is a LT kit worth it? Are lockers worth it? Are larger tires worth it? A snorkel?

If it fits what one needs, and they have the info to make a proper unbiased choice, then yes. And the same applies here. The mentality that no part makes any power improvement on this specific engine, has been proven and documented to be false. Lets move on from that. Geez.

bragging rights, and or pride in making xxx with no forced induction maybe.

I tried it, torque curve sucked and it was driving a honda...... not meant to be offensive, Honda makes some badass and dependable cars. They are pushing, what.... 120hp per liter?!?!?!? I drove an S2K quite a few times, a beastly civic, and badass teggy. They were all friends cars, and they were pretty damn fun.

What Im saying is that my tq wasnt down low anymore like I feel a truck should be. I dont wanna "work" for my hp/tq or wait for it.

I am really curious to see what the end result, for power gains, will be of an N/A engine build I am aware. Should be quite the beast with plenty of power bumped up across the entire band. Low end tq. Should be ready some time next year......

glad ya got what I meant by that....... Its amazing what they are doing with them cars!
That S2K was like a mini viper..... She had no forgiveness, a rear end that loved to swing out and say "hello" to the front end, and loved to scream..... It demanded respect. My friend found out the hard way when he spun it getting on the freeway.
