^ can anyone verify if using this installation method causes the lights to come on after a few hours (even for only a few minutes)?

Chris4x4 is the one who showed me how to do it yesterday. They WILL come on if you dont push the button and turn them off when you get out of your truck. I haven't seen it happen because my truck is in the garage but thats what i have been told by a couple of different people.

Yeah. Its a light green color. and that blue thing is called a quick splice at homedepot. They come in different sizes. there are two holes in it one is to the new wire and the other is for the light green one.

    I'll second that.
They turn on only when I turn them on, with high beams, lights off or on.

The best easiest way is located in the second post (this seems to be a two post thread.. one asking the question, second post answering it..) I have an 05 and leave my switch in the ON position for almost a year now, never seen them turn on or off by themselves. I cant say for certain newer years do

^ same here and same here.

Very easy mod. I like having control of my lights. Now I can alternate my fogs, DTRL, corner markers, headlights and every combination of them.

Actually, I don't like that the DTRL turn off when the headlights are on but it might be overkill to have everything on. Regardless, is there a mod for that?

2009 DC LB 4x4. Wanting to keep things neat, I tried the "junction block #2 wire 21 to 13" mod". Couldn't fully release the fuse block, couldn't see, and apparently damaged the #21 wire. Fogs would not work after the mod, and not after reversing the mod!! Realized this was a stupid thing to try with my thick fingers and big hands.
So, I released the fuse box so I could lift it up just a little. Fished a 16 ga. wire thru the round hole next to the Fog relay. Reached in, and pulled the wire out where the large bundle of wires exits, facing the driver's seat. Pull the hood release cable out slightly at the fire wall, and while pushing it back in feed the 16 ga wire with it. continue pushing the wire, it slides right into the boot. Comes out right in front of the fuse block near the hood release lever. Used an add a circuit fuse holder on the accessory fuse; bent the terminal on the fog relay as all the other methods. Takes maybe one minute longer (to release the fuse block), no splicing, lights will NEVER come on after I turn the truck off, and I can push the connector down the hole if I ever worry about a dealer service rep looking at it.
