What do people think. Do you like the new 12+ grill better or the older (I believe 2011 and earlier) grills. I am a little biased because I have a 2011 but I think I like the older style better. Looks a little beefier.

I like the 2005-2011 best. I don't like the 2012+ mostly because it looks like a bull dog. And i hate those amber driving lights. If i wanted DRL i would order them. SCREW YOU TOYOTA!

I like the fact they changed it a bit.....

The original grill on my 07 is pretty boring. So, after a rock went thru it.... I put a 2011 grill on it (with honeycomb pattern). I love the 2011 better than the 2007.

    2012 is nice too.

In that picture I like the older, but remove that bull bar on the other truck and it will make the front look more appealing. Looks WAY busy in that setup, aesthetically.

I agree with this. I like the honeycomb on the '11s best (especially when you add a light bar to them ;))

Both look good, but I like the newer ones. Give it a couple of years and seeing thousands of them and I will probably change my mind.

Has anyone successfully swapped a 2012 headlights fog lights and bumper over to a 2005-2011? I like the 2012-13's better

I think the newer grill looks like an add-on. The angular lines don't really match the more organic lines of the rest of the truck.

If the newer, more angular front end were matched with a more angular body style, such as the new 4-Runner Sport, then I'd think the newer front end would be better looking.

I have enjoyed all Tacoma year grilles. I feel the 05-11 2nd gens have a milder front end. The 2012+ comes off as more aggressive which I like.

The pic in the OP doesn't do a 2012+ justice. That Tacoma has a cowboy mustache and a chrome beard.

Better Comparison: (2012+ is a limited, 05-11 is a sport but still good pictures)
