I needed the bed open for storage, and I also wanted the structure to be solid. This is tied into the frame at four corners, and is made out of DOM. VERY sturdy. Just primed right now but will be putting some POR15 on there soon.

Did you use the bed bolts to secure it down?

Went biking today and the bikes still fit in perfectly! All-Pro weld together with the legs cut to 13" to top of tube from bed rails. Love this rack!

    Funny story on "racks"....

I was out at Terra Del Sol Safari last year at the Tank Trap, watching the rock buggies make it look easy, when I looked over and saw a newer 4x4 van with a full Confer Rack with lots of accessories on it. I walked over to the owner and said "Wow, Nice Rack!" He looked at me kinda coldly, which was strange considering the venue... it was only then that I noticed that his girlfriend was standing next to him... she had to have been a Triple-D, and hanging out of a string top! I quickly pointed to the rack on the van, and his entire crew started cracking up!

So, be careful of what you say about someone's rack, even if it is a complement!

Box Rocket bed rack for 2nd gen, modified to sit 12" above the bed rails. I modified it to fit my rotopax on each side of the rack. Got it powder coated a little too early, as I want to somehow add mounts for a shovel, axe, and hatchet. Also going to figure out a way to mount some LED strips to the bed rack for light in the bed

I don't trust the bedsides for my rtt. Seen them buckle before with smaller tents.
