alright iv got an 09 double cab trd sport prerunner v6 automatic that i want to slam to the ground WITHOUT hydraulics and im not cutting my springs i know im going to have to c notch the frame thats not a problem what im wondering is this do i need to convert to a 5 lug bolt pattern like the xrunner and is that even possible? I kno it seems crazy to want to do this to a prerunner but its what i like. Thanks :)

Here is what you're looking for...not a slam, but...

    http://www.tundraracing.com/prerunnerdropkit.htm

Someone did it here before, not sure who...

Edit: if you're not aware, the xrunner and other five lug trucks are built on a completely different suspension setup than the six lug trucks...namely the front control arm set up and spring under vs spring over in the rear of five and six lugs respectively

I'm not sure if it's possible to slam a prerunner, but that kit is a good start.

Thanks guys for the quick replys
Reason i didnt buy the 5 lug to begin with is bcuz im on the fence of going long travel suspension or slamming it
I dont do much offroading at all so lowering it seemed the better direction to go

The rear is easy to lower. But the biggest concern will be the front you can only lower it so far until you need to start doing custom set up

Some of the guys in the x runner area might know a little more about this. You might consider asking this same question in there.

    And here's some inspiration

Agreed. No chrome. And maybe if they were a tad bigger. Never been a big fan of slammed vehicles but I can appreciate it.

I agree. I wouldn't do it to my truck, but I like the way it looks.

Not a fan of lowered trucks but that xrunner is nice. Kinda funny how you were on the fence about long travel or slammed seems like 2 polar opposites haah

Can you answer couple questions please?

    What's your budget?
How low do you want to go?
    Going for looks?
Planning on racing (looking for improved handling)?
What are you willing to sacrifice (aside from money) and can live with?
Do you think you may want to convert your truck back to stock or lift it later? What resources (shop tools and equipment) do you have access to?

That'll determine your best route. Answering those would allow everyone to get a better idea of what youre looking for and enable them to offer the most relevant info. Thanks and good luck.

Just have a really tall body kit fabbed up that'll make the truck look like it's slammed!

This sure would make loading dirt bikes easy!

I see slammed trucks rather often here in San Diego..
