There's a reason why they cost more.....I would stick with the OME shocks. Why cheap out on a couple hundred bucks when you've obviously already spent a lot on your truck?

    Lots...
    thanks!

Another thing I forgot to say... I bought my ARB bumper from another guy during the negotiation I got the front suspension (all were used, no idea how many miles on them)... nitrochargers + coils, I don't know which coils, but if you look at my pics, it doesn't look like it's lifted:

    IMG_4017_zps0eb9c366_7f0faa47331ecbccba1b5dee4527d4ac72b00e55.jpg

I already saw the specs of the coils and maybe later I'll measure them, maybe they installed 885's or were the 886's that sagged...

I'm not looking at the cheapest... but not always the pricier is the better...

I'm not an expert, and I'm trying to find the best option at this range of prices... maybe if I found that the OME are beefier shocks, or that the 5100 leak at XXX miles or something like that I wouldn't be asking this...

Got no idea... neither the old owner! I already asked him...

I'm leaning torwards the idea that they installed 885's, cause when he ordered them, he asked for a "leveling kit" maybe he never said that he needed the heavy duty one!!

Or is there any way or any mark in the springs that can tell??

The springs come with a little tag on them , probably long since gone

What setting on the 5100's with OME 885 coils will give the same lift as 5100's set at 2.5 with stock coils ?

I just installed 5100's set at 2.5 with stock coils on a 2006 2WD DBL cab TRD offoad. Running 285/75/16's on FJ TRD wheels. Did a little trimming and everything clears fine.

IMO the ride is a harsh. From what I have read the OME coils will ride better than than pre loading the stock coils....makes sense.

    Thanks for any help

You should keep them at 0 with the OME coils but i've seen folks talk about the .85 setting max. The OME coils weren't meant to be pre-loaded. If you don't get enough lift at the 0 setting you can add some 1/4" or 1/2" top plate spacers to get a little more lift.

Yeah, a few weeks ago someone else who was waiting for theirs got them. I think he was in the US though. May be taking longer to get them across the border.

    WAITING!!!
To bad I ordered my lift....then found out the leaf springs are on back order. I find it to be bad policy to not mention items are on back order BEFORE you give them your credit card info.

I was told at least 3 weeks out. That was late last week.

It would be nice if I could get them delivered and installed before my 2 week trip to CO, UT. Not sure if I'll have time. I leave on Sept. 12. (keeping fingers crossed)

Took me about a month. If you're not aware, Oz came up with a pretty good fix for it. Check this post out.
