This will fit a 1st gen actually. If you check the opening post it was originally installed in a 1995 Tacoma, and then removed about 50 miles later when the owner opted for ARB lockers in the front and rear. It does not fit MY Tacoma because I have the rear diff for the 4 cyl. This locker is for the V6 rear diff on a 1st Gen.

Zech will beg to differ. His entire rig and everything is less than what $1500?

Your rig has $10000 in it and been wheeled twice and spent most of its life on jack stands.

Zech spent $500 on his rig and wheeled the piss out of it multiple times. Then added a small lift and tires for what maybe $500? And then wheeled the piss out of it some more. Then added the spartan locker for $150 right? His truck has kept up with some pretty impressive rigs that cost 3x what he's spent.

Basically what I'm saying that if he wants to get into wheeling its more worth it to start with something he can beat on with 4x4 and not try and make a 2wd DD a wheeling vehicle.

I am doing an SAS and going duals. All parts for the duals, SAS and the parts rig (axle, header, transfer case) included I will just break over $1200. That will bring the grand total for my rig to ~$2300. Not bad IMO :D

I've talked about a motor swap; but that is a "if I could" type thing. I will most likely just refresh this motor and put in a better cam.

So once again Blake....Zech has spent less on his wheel the piss out of rig than your new laptop... Lol

I will admit though that my rig is the exception in pricing; not the norm. So far I have done a really good job of finding good deals when I really needed it. Example - parts rig with extra transfer case, solid axle, and full front suspension already lifted for $300. :D

Guess I should have been more technical. 1995.5 Tacoma. The Tacoma first came out mid-year of 1995. The truck title however still says "1995 Tacoma" The locker will fit any first gen V6 Tacoma.

Honestly not trying to get into an argument with you. Just trying to be sure that it does have all the correct information. I know 100% for a FACT that this was installed initially on a 1995 Tacoma V6 4WD. I do see where in the listing it showed 8" differential. I may have incorrectly linked it. It is corrected now.

It IS a Tacoma, that is undeniable. Plain and simple. However see below.

I posted another comment here, but now I will come back and take care of it. I have always been willing to step up when I find out that I was partially incorrect. ThatGuy18, While the truck is obviously a Tacoma, and not an older truck, I contacted the owner and found out something. The previous owner before him had done several changes to the truck. One of those changes was putting a 1995 pickup truck rear differential into it. So in a sense we are both right. While it IS a Tacoma, the rear diff is from the previous truck model, so yes, it is the 8 inch differential. I will be sure to have a moderator change the info on my for sale to reflect this information. We both knew what we were talking about, but I was not aware that the rear diff had been changed. My friend Dave just brought me the truck and all the parts and said "Here, put them in!" I assumed incorrectly that all of the truck was original. I stand corrected, and have no problems in admitting such. I do thank you for helping me get on track so that I can be sure to sell this to the correct people.

Sure looks like a Tacoma to me. Title and VIN both agree. Here is the build thread.

Definitely do not like online classes or classes with 100+ people in them. Can't wait until my classes start getting more focused on Forestry and start getting away from the large crowds.

What's wrong with those tires? They still had some good tread on the shoulder.

I actually just spent a really long time debating whether to go back to stock for gas savings, whether to switch from the BFGs for just plain savings, whether to get new wheels and tires. Finally, I went with the same.
