Met a guy at Dicks Sporting Goods today. He had an MGM XSP-X. Really diggin' his truck. Gave him a card, so hopefully he'll join and post here.

Side note, I had what looked like acid rain spots all over my Tacoma and my other two cars after that downpour 2 days ago. Tried to really wash them...no luck. Ended up taking them to my car wash guy who spent an hour on each car just buffing them out. Any one else in the area have this?

Acid Rain. Always hearing about it happening up in the Northeast and Midwest but first I have heard of anyone actually getting it down here.

    Hey guys,

I saw this pop up today in the Florida section:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/florida/293743-citrus-meet.html

I mentioned before that I would like to go to this but being that I am 2WD, better & dryer weather & my wife & I are going to camp (our first time ever) I suggested that December/January would be great. Any of you know these guys that are planning this? Are there 2WD, mechanical LSD friendly, & semi dry trails out there in December?

I have time available in December so I vote for December.

    Thanks
    :)

Andy, I saw your sig and couldn't let you go around with that...had theTuppermmake you a new one...one that better suits your style...

Save to your computer and upload so that you don't have to worry about running out of bandwidth...

Yeah, it was near a construction area that it happened...I'm thinking it was some mist that got onto the vehicle after it rained and stuck to the water beads on the cars. The guy just said that it "looked" like acid rain and he was able to remove it like he would remove acid rain. He thought it was weird too...

Off well, at least it's fixed....

I think Fink goes to Citrus every year...it's full of 2wd guys and no one has a problem. It's not as wet up there as it is down here. From what I have seen, its a lot more technical stuff than mud. I think you'd have fun...if a couple So. Fla. guys going, I may aswell...time will tell.

    Love it up there.
But yea a lot of it isn't wet when we go the beginning of the year. We usually fin d some low patches for some good wholesome mud pits but nothing crazy. Sometimes a light rain and that'll keep the dust down. Love the more technical stuff though. My truck does really well with it with the wheel travel most 2wd trucks have. I got TONS of pictures from the various years we've gone if you need some...persuasion.

All convoying up there would be cool too. Represent and get some cool driving shots.

And there's enough people that the group seems to break up a little and do what everyone wants.

Oh yeah. There's always different sub groups. Last time a couple of us broke off and ended up on the side of a quarry, kinda seemed like we were on the side of a mountain. Then drove down into it and drove around. Some tight turns and scraps though. And the night runs are badass. Always seems to end up in high speed chase to catch up to the guy in front but all lights blasting cruising down sandy trails.

    Dan,
Near a construction site makes sense for that to happen. I have a couple of customers that work near a rock quarry/construction site in West-Dade & their cars always have those hard-water looking spots.

BTW, I like Finks suggestion of a convoy. Talk about everyone feeling proud & psyched pulling up to Citrus together.

We just start with the guy furthest South (probably me) & meet up with you guys on the way up & so on gather more members on the way up.

I wouldn't mind seeing some pics Fink if it's not too much trouble.
    Thanks.
