I haven't seen the APex front bumper in person so can't comment on that specifically. I have seen and talked to folks that have their other bumpers and have heard a mix of positive and negative results. Most of the negative remarks I have heard about the AllPro front bumpers are strength issues with winching and using the front shackle points.

I have seen Bruteforce's front and rear (standard and HC) bumpers and know they are solid and highly recommend them. I do currently own his rear standard bumper. Also, for fun, do a forum or Google search on bruteforce and see if you find any negative remarks or reviews on his quality then do the same for AllPro.

My personal opinion is go with Bruteforce.

    Things to think about:

You will probably get the AllPro faster if you are impatient or just need it fast. (This type of spending usually doesn't work out all that well.) A Bruteforce bumper will probably take a bit longer to get built but probably not 6 months to 12 months like some of the other vendors.

Bruteforce will be a bit more expensive as compared to the APex group buy but not by much.

AllPro ships bare steel as a standard and Bruteforce ships primered as a standard.

factory fogs will fit in the APex front bumper but you will have to buy
aftermarket lights/LED's to fit in the Bruteforce front bumper.

You have seen Bruteforce products on our Sac area trucks and I know you have checked them out and asked questions. Maybe shoot a PM to MJ about his AP front and see what he thinks but keep in mind his is a modular one and not a one piece.

Billy is a really down to earth good guy to deal with (this comes from my personal experience.) He will take the time to talk to you and answer any questions you might have. AllPro (again from personal experience) did not do so well is this arena.

If you are still thinking about Bruteforce, give Billy a call and chat with him about what you are looking for before making a decision.

Check my build thread...too much to list.
One correction to your comment. You can keep stock fog lights on the bruteforce. You just have to let billy know when you order. I know cause that's how my bumper is.

Jesse you make a really good point.....
All pro seems cheaper now but I agree I think Billy's product is higher quality. And as great as the AP looks it's just so hard to decide. Gahhh decisions:confused:

Hi norcal! (Oahu forum is slooooooow compared to what I'm used to...)
I think the APEX looks cool but I think I like Billy's stuff better... not sure why...

those are cutouts for OEM fogs, but he can make any cutout you want.

I was just trying to force Justin in to buying LED fogs ;)

Yeah, I messed up on that one as Bruteforce does make the cutouts to fit stock fog lights.

Just don't listen to Mike on cutting off stock stuff on the front

OME offers an installable trim packer to compensate for taco lean. Its a thin metal sleeve that is at the bottom of the spring plate which could explain the slightly skewed sizes.

It's called spring deflection. Typically happens with higher spring rates or excessively long springs with too narrow of a diameter. It's not uncommon. As long as it's not touching the shock it's not a big deal.

I'd be happy to drag him around the block by the sides to show it. Confidence and ignorance aren't a good combination. If he wanted to show off how strong it was, he would have listed materials and thickness. Seriously, Jerry's wife's prius could bend that bumper

If I can get a good deal on the passenger side bedside, I might entertain it. I have that one big gash from DV, but I really don't mind it.

I say rattle can it yourself. That what I did with my fenders and you've seen how decent they came out. I've never done anything like this before so skill level is EASY. I have close up pics in my build.

    hi Mikey

I agree and this is coming from someone that doesn't have the strongest bumper either. at least I had some tubes going to the outside of the front hoop.

I souls prefer to sell them as a pair as one would be even harder to sell in its own. but the longer it sits around and the more I have to move them the more I will be willing to get rid of them.

yeah I'm not worried about how hard it will be to paint. I have a degree in auto body, I was just thinking money and end results. I'm leaving more towards rattle canning them anyway, or at least spraying them myself. my room mate said he might know someone with a spray booth, compressor and paint gun I could barrow! if that's the case I will sorbs a little more on supplies and spray myself.
