Scratch that, mine dim. I must have thought they didn't dim when I switched from my last lights since these new ones are so bright. Whoops

That link sums up the install. Took less than an hour after I figured out which wires to tap, and that was on the side if the street in the dark.

I bought mine off Amazon, but at that price I wish I had spent $30 more and gotten a remote starter as well as keyless entry.

My Taco has low miles, but PO left it sit outside on dirt/grass it's first 10 years of life. I bought with 10k miles and it has 24k now, but this is what the knuckles and rear axle housing looked like:

Picked up 4R knuckles from a yard in Cali. Got them all painted up:

Light Racing UCA's do not come with a good paint job from the factory so I pulled those off and sprayed some epoxy:

Here she is all reassembled with the Tundra 199mm upgrade...rust free up front:

Now onto the rear axle housing and associated parts.

    Lol

Wow I'm sure glad I didn't have to do that, what did you use to cut the old leafs out??

Here are a few pictures I snapped this morning... I'll take plenty more (better) ones after I get my 33s and Pro Comp 7069s later this week

Underneath all finished (I cut the U-Bolts down to size):

I had to cut the front pin off my leafs too....use just a cutoff wheel on a grinder (they are very thin).

Looks good man. You have the "Expo" leafs? They advertise you can get up to 5" of lift with these when you don't have any weight in the bed. That's why I didn't go the Expo route...man they look like they are right where they should be, at 3" or so.
You're gonna love that elite front. Gonna make your truck look so diff.

Yeah the "Expedition" Heavy Duty Rear Leaf Springs. I only heard up to 4" with an empty bed. I only have a tool box that has about 50-60lbs of supplies in there... anyways it looks like I didn't get the 4" but more along the lines of 3". I'll take a measuring tape to it later this evening and see what I actually got.

Oh I've been practically :jerkoff: to pics of guys installing their Elite bumpers from the last Group Buy, it makes the truck look so much more badass

    Yeah! I can't believe the difference! :D

I'm losing a bit more room with the 12"... but for the right box dimensions and allowing the woofer to sound right and THAT good, it's so worth it!

I agree... I had 2 8" woofers that could "hit" but def couldn't hold the low tones and move as much air! Here's some facts:
8 Inch Subwoofers: These subwoofers are the standard small woofer and can normally be found in stock sound systems in cars. They have been deemed the smallest woofer that will still get you nice bass. 8" subwoofers add a bit of rumble, or flavor, to your cars music without sacrificing space. Because of the small cone area and weight, it is easy for the magnet to move the assembly resulting in punchy, accurate bass reproduction.
12 Inch Subwoofers: By far the most common subwoofer is the 12 inch subwoofer; it’s a great mix of accuracy and loudness. They hit the lower notes without using all that much power. A 12" woofer can be both punchy and boomy, this is where your box comes in to tune your woofer exactly how you want it. If you are torn between punch and boom, go with a 12" woofer, it is a safe bet.
It's pretty much the difference in surface area of the cone... so one 8" vs one 12" = 12" puts out lower and more bass! ;) Maybe three 8s will sound similar, tho. :notsure: Hope this helps! ;)
