    Great job firemen!
I'm very glad to hear that no horses were killed.
What the hell with those burglars? I agree, Ian, they need a good ass-whoopin'
It's nice that the community is coming together to help the firemen, both with the food and snacks and the stolen items.

my dad had a rescue Great Pyrenees for 10 plus years, we think he was 2 when we got him. the best dog I have ever meet to date. he had the best personality and was always grateful for everything he got and never was upset if he didn't get something. he lived well past his expected age I think because he was such a happy dog. his name was King Ferguson. He didn't like being called Fergy .

Hats off to those guys, to those of you that don't know, Mt D can be a evil hiking experience, really. I was riding the other night just west of the mountain and I could see fire teams hiking all over the south side at night, brutal. It's a mother of a hike when you can see in the day, I couldn't imagine how hard it would be to hike at night.

They look good man. We have to go test them out 27-29 Sep on the Rubicon! Submit your leave NOW! It's not a "club run" as of yet. Have to see if the TTORA Nor Cal pres is up too. But all with Toyota badges are welcome, we don't bite, unless you show up in a 2wd!

So this new guy gets hired at my work and in meeting him, I ask him what he did before getting this job. Ends up he worked at NUMMI for 12 years and stayed there until it closed the doors.

    ORLY??

I told him that with some research, I found out that my car was built during that last month before they closed. He said, "Oh it's a Tacoma."

Hmmm.... so in chatting with him, he told me that his line was the Tacoma and it's a possibility that he helped somewhere on the line with my truck because near the end when NUMMI was downsizing, they hand picked people to do the last builds and he was one of them.

I straight up asked him about the frame rust issues and if he thinks that the 2nd gens would have them. He said that he is bound not to say certain things but he did tell me that the Dana frames were from Ohio and that before shipment they are supposed to oil the frames for protection and them remove the oil before assembly. He said that he saw many frames that came in that were NOT oiled and under his breath he mumbled something along the lines of "cutting costs of removal..."

He also said that the trucks with the most issues where the 07s. I asked him what exactly were the issues and he said, that the known one was with "...." (I forgot what exactly it was but something made me think front suspension wheel falling off type of vision in my head). When I asked him what the other issues were, he said that there are some things that he cannot talk about. *sigh*

    Oh that's just lovely.

If you go with him you'll probably be running with one of the 4runner guys that just did a dual SAS swap. It would be pretty sweet to see both of you guys out there on the trail.
