I've got the 19mm in 1/2 so i'l pick up a 17mm also, pretty sure my 12&14mm are 3/8 drive. the boss lady just nixed the impact wrench idea so i/ll be torquing by hand....and breaker bar.

Impact set will make your life a whole lot easier....Started off with the breaker bar and decided to dig the impact set and compressor out of the shed.

Just curious as to loosening things, I have an 18v Dewalt impact drill, I'm not sure I would want to tighten with it, not to mention it won't fit everywhere but to loosen stuff up it should work, right?

The HFT website has an air one for 20,lowes has a Kobalt for 39.00.

The Kobalt 350ft lb impact is 39.00 and I have a bostich 6 gallon 150 psi so it will probably run every time I hit the trigger. Just have to wait till payday, I've had the lift for 2 weeks now sitting in my kitchen what's another couple :(

I looked at a mid travel but kind of pointless here on the beach and on a prerunner. I promised my wife I'd keep this truck till its paid off but for the first time since 94 I actually enjoy owning this truck. Only thing I'd trade for it would be a double cab 4x4. Kick myself for not finding a 4wheel dr.

Just use PB blaster dude it'll get everything nice and loose for ya before you start. I never used an impact wrench when I did mine just spray the bolts with that PB and wait 5-8 minutes you're good to GO man.

Ok finally got the funding to get the struts mounts so I can just pull out the old stuff and put these in. But from the kit I see no nuts included, wonder what size and thread I need.

I've got a friend who has a hydraulic spring compressor so he said he compress them and install the caps but I'll need new nuts for it. I guess I could buy some from advance but I'd rather have the black coated nuts to prevent rust
