Were the ANY changes made to the 2014 taco?

Aside from the looks of it, I am more curious about powertrain than anything?

I saw something that said they had moved to a direct injection engine but has this been confirmed? Any HP increase? I mean they had to do SOMETHING to make you want to purchase it over the 2013 other than adding a stitch or two to the seats..

 

they added a whole number to the year model!!!!!

 

and charged 250 for it

 

They put a diesel in it and a solid axle

 

don't let him mess with you. honestly there's nothing different about the 2014 model besides changing littler thing in the truck.

Absolutely not.
It didn't even get the dual-VVTi from the FJ.

The whole direct injection thing has never been anything more than wishful thinking and some "magazine" sites (that are really nothing more than blogs with no basis in reality) picked up on. They kept repeating it louder and more often, and they eventually believed their own bullshit.

Couple of different color options, the "Limited" and "SR" packages, but no changes under the hood or to the sheetmetal.

 

If only. If Toyota would put a diesel in the Tacoma id sell mine now just to get it. to bad the hilux is only in EU

 

They only changed the interior by adding more buttons and new colors that's it

 

There's another question besides was there anything new added.

Was there anything old discontinued?

Stuff like bench seats, hand crank windows, manual door locks, non electronic keys, and stick shift transmissions.

 

I talked to my Sales person who sold me my Tacoma last year and he said that there was no changes. There was changes to the Tundra.

 

Also, in 2012 they changed the way the dash pieces fit...

If I ever go over seas im either selling the taco before or trade in while over seas
