Labor is always gonna be the knife in your back whenever you think about getting work done at a shop. That's a pain in the ass job doing both sides of your front suspension. If anything get a few quotes from places in your area that have good reviews & then choose from there

It's practically new. I had to get $25 in hardware, and it doesn't have the side-braces or splashguard. Gotta get with Stallone to weld some shit, and try to get some cans installed for the fogs.

I'd rather not make a thread in the Marketplace & have to deal with shipping to a FFL/bullshit that is involved with selling it to someone in another part of the country, so... does anyone want to buy a .25 caliber Lorcin? $80 will entertain offers though. PM me
Must be able to meet up for the transaction. Located in Shoreline but travel down to Tukwila on occasion.

At the beginning of this year, February or March. Cleaned it and then have had it sitting around ever since

Is that a good deal? I'm looking at getting a WARN M8000 winch (actually really close to pulling the trigger) and understand that getting rid of the steel line reduces the weight significantly & there's less stress (danger) involved if the rope snaps? Pretty much all positives, I just don't know a whole lot about synthetic rope brands, but this one seems to come up in conversation (or posts) often...

Very good deal. He only has (1) 100' length of 3/8" left @ $138, which is about a $150-$200 discount.

Synthetic has a lot of positives: less weight, safer, pretty much maintenance-free, can be spliced/repaired, higher breaking point, it floats.

One downside is the fact the it can't pulled against rough or jagged surfaces (rocks, trees, metal etc) but with the right rigging you can usually avoid pulls like that.

Yeah the downside of that isn't a huge one cause like you said with good rigging you can manipulate the pull angles.

So what is the difference between 3/8" and 1/2" rope in terms of pulling capability? (nobody say the smart ass reply of 1/8" :p)

    1/2" is rated up to 34,000lbs (17tons)
3/8" is up to 17,000 (8.5 tons) - which is pretty damn strong.

Another thing to consider is the difference in thickness. You can (barely) fit 100' of syn line on an 8k winch, so with the 1/2" line you would most-likely only get 50' to fit (maybe). That's not a lot of length, specially when you need to do long-pulls, or double/triple lines.

Oh damn I missed that part in DDD's ad. Yeah 3/8" is damn strong & good point about only being able to fit that much (which is not much) rope in the winch

Via the PM I just got back, too late... :pout:
