see, i'm trying to ditch the header cats. one has gone bad, and i would assume the other will follow sooner than later.

i'll talk to gadget about skid plate compatability, but the one i made a couple years ago routes in a similar fasion. i tucked it up for clearance, and then moved the crossover back to keep from toasting the ujoint and seal at the transfer case.

i know it's probably punishable by death, but my best solution may be to chop up the urd and fit my original rear cats to it. :crapstorm:

Factory cats filter the exhaust gasses better than high-flow cats, unless you get the OBDII compliant High-flow cats. Those aren't cheap.

Just make sure to cut back on the openings of the cats, so that their O.D.'s match that of the URD Y. Which is 2.25" O.D.

Yeah it has been a roller coaster for sure, but I am glad it is back up and running as well. I will try and make one soon. I haven't been able to find a suitable stretch of road around here... I will likely be out driving around today and will see what I can find.

Mr. Colton, what a-pillar gauge pod holder do you have? did i remember you saying you weren't thrilled with the fitment? I was talking to gadget today, and i think i'm going to ad a a real AFR gauge and one more gauge (still debating between a couple of things to monitor). Not really a ran of the gauge pod that goes by the factory gauges, so a-pillar or custom install are my options......

If I remember right it was a giant pain in the ass. Didnt fit right. But I'll wait for him to mention, I just remember him hating it.

I went with a Lotek A pillar pod. I am going to say that it is only worth buying due to the location that it places the gauges. It is definitely not installable out of the box. The holes are round whereas the posts that the handles use to install are more or less square. The pod has to be dremelled out to make the handles fit right, and it is quite easy to take too much so take your time. The paint on it also doesn't match the stock interior very well either. I am not thrilled with it's quality, but with a little heat and a dremel tool can be made to fit at least decently. I try and err on the side of perfectionism and the Lotek certainly dropped the ball in that department. If you want gauges on the A pillar, this pod will work, but don't expect it to fit perfectly.

Oh, and the paint that is on it flakes off if you look at it wrong.

    :D

Thanks for the review, Colton. i'm surprised that they paint it grey. you'd figure it would just be grew plastic.

I gues it'll just have to deal with the poor fit and finish, since i'd rather have them in the a-pillar, versus the gaugepod on the steering wheel.

you're happy with the AEM gauge quality? you have boost and AFR right? heard rumors that the Bosch wideband sensor that ships with the AEM AFR has a short lifespan.

Mine seemed to pick up once I put the 2.8" pulley on as far as shifting was concerned... There isn't nearly as much bog.
I've done that once, but not down here in TX. I skurred, and it isn't worth tearing shit up.
    Yes, VERY MUCH so...

My dad has the 2.8 pulley too. Still shifts pretty slow.
