Did I miss something? Does your transfer case skid plate not need a cut out for the stock exhaust?

I just installed the RCI engine skid plate, I will be buying the other two in the future! The stock ifs skid plate is paper thin compared to the RCI plate!

One thing I would recommend going for the powder coat option, I spent $30 on paint and primer to coat the non coated plate lol.

The exhaust cross is the same height off the ground as the front crossmember. It looks like it's lower, but no. So a flat plate is a better design as DoorDing said below. My BudBuilt rubbed/vibrated against the crossover in one little spot on the driver side. Some Design Engineering exhaust wrap cured that.

What's kinda funny (in a goofy kind of way) is it looks like the factory hammered the crossover pipe flat at the bottom so it is exactly the same height off the ground as the crossmember. Used to call that "Southern Engineering" . . . . . .

Soo I just realized I promised to post a photo of a fuel tank skid a long while back and I never did!

My bad, in any case here is a pic finally! Not mounted on a truck obviously but this is a 3/16" bare aluminum plate which as always is water-jet cut for flawless precision.

Yep you can absolutely order these without holes, just leave a note on your order and we will accommodate your request, just allow a little extra time.

Beginning in January, we are actually going to flip it around and our standard plate design will be WITHOUT holes and you may then request to add the holes on your order if you prefer it that way. Just an FYI.

Oh and by the way... Installed a set of plates today that represent several of our continuing updates, options and innovation in the Tacoma market.

This install utilized a full set of powdercoated 1/4" aluminum plates, and our new 3/16" aluminum fuel tank skid. These had NO holes in them except for the maintenance drain holes.

Also one of the most important features that many of you will be interested in, is that this represents our first transfer-case skid plate specifically built for those who have undergone an exhaust cross-pipe re-route. Thus the skid plate does not require any spacers to lower it below the exhaust.
