    8 week wait sucks... but limit straps should be easy for you. You have a welder. Limit straps are a good idea anyway even for C/O's.

    Try do make on. But it's pretty dinky and small and it's attached so idk if it would work with out UCAs. Go to their site.

    Gotta PM him to find it out.

    Usually a good deal tho. Still probably a grand I bet tho.

    Yeah, I saw that in the thread. I have been reading through that entire thread just now. My only question is how do they hold up without resis to a non resi 2.5" C/O on the high speed stuff. Price fro price they are about the same as Kings and Icons. I imagine adding Resis to them will raise the price the same as adding resis to the Icons and Kings. I think I can get by as MT up front with a 2.5" non-resi C/O, but if the ORI's without resis can't keep up I don't want to blow them by over heating them...

    yea why i decided not to. Looking at ADS stuff now. Triple seals..haha their tolerances are higher then Kings.

    But you also have to remember..no oil to heat up..just NO2..

    I thought they had oil in them as well as Nitrogen. (nitrogen is N2 by the way, NO2 is nitrogen dioxide).

    My understanding is nitrogen is basically un-affected by heat. Like when running CO2 in tires as you head down the road they will heat up and your tire pressure will increase. N2 filled tires will stay at the same psi though. (I assume there is a point where you can heat the nitrogen enough to make it expand but it probably takes a lot more heat than the tires can handle).

    Maybe I am wrong here, but I thought "shock fading" was the oil heating up and expanding basically increasing the valving on the shocks and making them stiffer and with enough hit they will get to a point where they vehicle can't compress them very well and you get a really rough ride.

    your correct on shock fading. It is the oil heating up thus getting thinner and moves faster through the valves in the shock.

    N2 in tires is not nearly as effected by heat yes, why Nissan makes sure to only fill the GTR tires with it.

    But regular CO have oil and N2 in them. the N2 pressurizes the oil .

    ORIs..only have N2 and a shit load of seals. they are an air shock. No oil.

    that was my understanding of them anyways..only N2 and used two chambers, one for ride height and one for "valving" more or less for rebound and compression. You can also still adjust the valving inside them too like normal CO. But N2 charges affect the ORIs more then a CO..but still effects the CO. like if at 150psi vs 175psi you'll notice a big difference.

    Edit: Just went or ORIs site. They still use oil i guess..also have nice bump stops and they claim most don't run limit straps or bump stops since the ORIs have good internal bumps. Also they claim to be more of a Long Travel setup shock..so..should work..i guess if KOH rigs blaze through with them LT should be good.

    Jerry said he is working on a kit so you can adjust valving on the fly from in the cab. It might be a bit pricey though because 3000+psi air lines cost are pricey.

    yea have seen that.

    Biggest advantage i see for them though from our standpoint is you can fit a 10'' one in a stock bucket..

    So..all ya need are some RCV axles and you can probably pull 16'' or so from a standard 3.5'' kit.

    Been looking up air shocks vs coilovers around the web and these seem convincing... haha

    I also found a few posts of people saying they were prone to heating up really fast and due to that blew out quickly. One guy said a lot of people have to rebuild them after every trip out... That was followed by a few people saying theirs never got hot etc, ect... haha Not sure what to believe there.

    Just saw you edit. I could probably get away with not running limit straps since they ext out to about the same as my 5100's, but I highly doubt I will ever hit that bottom out bump in them. They compress almost 2.5" more than my 5100's do!

    If that is the case you are almost better off getting 10's and strapping them since they collapse to about the same height as Icon C/O's for 2nd gens.
