Has anyone installed the retrofit headlights on their 2013 Taco? If so, what ballasts, bulbs, and projectors did you select? I am looking for both output (why i'm looking at the retrofits) and style. I have no experience whatsoever modifying headlights, what would you consider the ease of installation to be?

This is what I have in mind, I don't really know the specifics on what works with what and also the installation process:

    Ballasts: Morimoto 3Five (35W)
    Bulbs: Morimoto 3Five 4300K D2S
As far as projectors, I'm not sure what the difference is between LHD and RHD, assuming 2.5" would be fine.
Shrouds: Gatling Gun (would this require any kind of modification??)
    Wire harness: 9006 Relay

Anyone with retrofitting experience, can you try to help out? I may be confusing, but what can you expect when I'm confused myself? If you have installed the retrofits on a '13 taco, got any eye candy? They are too damn good looking to not look at.

Man I hate sounding like a dick but did you try to search it? There's a bunch of write ups and walkthroughs on here for 2nd gen headlights as well as a few threads dedicated to just pictures.

Yes a good little niche of guys here have done retrofits and it's quite easy if you don't mind getting your hands dirty (so to speak).

Try searching around here first, and then check out www.theretrofitsource.com they have a wealth of info on everything HID as well as all the products to allow you to do it yourself.

the process is exactly the same as 05-11 the only pain in the ass as of right now is the alignment ring does not work in the 12-13 headlights major pain in the ass if you ask me. So much so I bought all the stuff to do it and never installed collecting dust I should put it up for sale

Not to be a dick, but 2013 headlights are different. Did you even read the OP before hating to sound like a dick?

I was actually gonna say the same thing (what junkman said)...

They're very different, not "just a different shape" and require a slightly different process.

Its all the same process from 05-14 models, 05-11 same headlights shape, 12-14 same shape. FXR kit is permanent modification, d2s and h1 is easier with no reflector cutting. Use the oven for 05-14 models. As clueless as I am the first time doing it, I didn't screw up the d2s kit.

All retros are the same process so to speak, if it doesn't work or fit just cut some more off, didn't use a aligning ring on my d2s because they were tilted
