I just moved down from the Fort Knox, KY area but I claim East TN as my home. This is a much needed change from those yankees up there. Do you guys normally post on this thread for your meets?

I'm hopefully I can find a good place eventually, last place put pickles and mayo on my BBQ sandwich......

Some local joint and the Rick's or Rickys...? I love NC style or VA BBQ. I know I'm a little "far from home" for that though.

Sorry JUSTIN, my bad. I thought your name was Jim all this time. I apologize.

If someone EVER put mayo on my BBQ..... Well, for legal reasons I can't post what I would do to them.

As for wheeling, usually you will find us talking about meets here.

Awesome man! We will be glad to have ya riding with us. On a side note I just talked to Sarah and Alexis, and I am pretty sure they both will be coming. I am just waiting on a confirmation of 100%. Right now it is a "Heck yeah we want to come, but we have to make sure we don't already have plans."

Dave, how far is the drive from your place to the Slab? Also, I have seen a couple of short videos of there, but not much. How impressive/challenging is it there? Mostly mud? Mix of mud/rocks?

It's almost exactly 10 miles from me. About 15 min drive. Very much mud, some rocks, water crossings, and a few hill climbs.

Nothing real challenging, well, except maybe that one rock hill that I broke a CV on.

Yep, those would be the videos I saw. Just wasn't sure if there was more to the place than what was in the videos. Like Stoney, you can spend 4 hours on the trails and not hit 1/3 of the place.

Anybody with suspension experience on here that lives close to Huntsville willing to help a novice out on installing an OME suspension kit? I just bought an 04 dc 4X4 that has the stock suspension and it's shot. I had an 09 AC Taco that I had to sell due the birth of my daughter and the child seat not fitting, did all my own maintenance on it so I'm not a complete novice, but having someone to help with experience would be great. I'll supply the beer/food for the help.

I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
beer and food will usually get kyle and I involved. I can't tell you how many times we've done the suspension on his damn truck now.

That's because, Jim, you gotta have rims that are wider than your tires and have 2" wheel spacers!!!! Oh, in order to have the ground clearence, you gotta put MOAR of a lift on it!!
