My truck has less than 2k miles on it so I'm still a little nervous to make the change but soon I'll probably change to the white LEDs

no its not but it wouldnt be hard to heat the soldering iron too much and strip the contact right off the board like some have done trying to do this mod. I dont want to scare people away from doing just make sure that if you dont know how to solder very well that you use very minimal heat and take your time doing, as well do not pull hard while removing the old ones.

I just realized last night when I went to use my dimmer that it no longer works, does anyone else have this problem after installing the dash lights?

Here are mine in white. I had another TN member (jotaro) do them for me a few years back.

And here is the shifter with LEDs to match.

And my aftermarket stereo just for kicks

i dont know if i had jotaro do my shifter lights or not, but they suck so bad. dont get me wrong though, when they work they look awesome, but my problem is that the assembly wont stay in there & keeps stayin loose. so half the time i have to take everything apart and shove it back in there & pray it will last longer each time

This has been one of my favorite mods by far but i've been to scared to even think about trying it because of my inexperience with this sort of stuff, i don't have the tools or the skill to pull of something like this. But it kills me everytime i see it cause i want it so bad.

So if anyone lives ranging from Santa Barbara-San Diego that is willing to do this mod for me, i will pay them for the labor and obviously i'll bring the bulbs, i just need you're tools and expertise

p.s. this is the sickest looking one so far, i love the white and blue instead of the red and blue

im a noob when it comes to this stuff

dont be scared! i had no experience with a sodering iron and mine turned out perfect..... although i am pretty crafty anyways, dont know if that helped or not.

definetly get someone to help u with it, even if they dont know what they are doing. me and untamed_ss did ours and it was pretty easy

we went to radio shack and got a $7.00 soldering iron, worked perfect. make sure u get the smallest sharpest end point though. hell, we didnt even use anything but tweezers and the iron to do all this. didnt even use the rest of the stuff everyone else said to use.

Jotaro didn't do this. I got the LEDs from another TN member and then installed it myself. You have to wedge it in there because if you don't, then it will pop loose. It's a little tricky.
