No A/C No Problem!

Just found this out, and not sure if this works for 1st gens or ALL Vehicles for that matter. If you want cold air and do not want to use the A/C, put it on defroster, (winshield) and turn up the fan!! Don't recirculate either, I did this and the air is pretty damn cold. I was surprised to find out that my WIFE told me this. Yes I'm giving credit to her but at least I get to save some gas(maybe???) using this method. Try it out see if it works!I hope this helps out some people!!

 

Turn on your defroster and go check your a/c compressor. It will be engaged.

The defroster automatically turns on your a/c. Somewhere around here there is a mod to disable this.

for reals?? But the light doesn't turn on inside. Its the same thing on my wife's 06 G6. Her A/C light doesn't come on either.

 

The defroster uses the A/C. It's pulling condensation out of the air.
