yeah i wanted the best of both worlds so i bought a First gen 4door.. LOVING IT!!!!!

Thats normal everyday life to lots of people.. like that time i slept with both my roomates and they would randomly be in my bed when i got home from the bar with another girl who would either get pissed and bail or say fuck it and we would just go for it anyways.. that was normal shit for me.. either way my selfish me got mine..

tig is for aluminum and titanium. mig is for any steel (except stainless?). almost all welding you will do will be steel so just pick up a mig. you can buy aluminum spool guns to use a mig machine to do some aluminum welding though

 

you can but most people would already own both a mig and tig at that point. i agree that picking up a small mig would be the ideal which i would go to thread i posted. it has decent ones listed in there.

You're going to want 200 amps bare minimum to be able to weld 1/4" confidently, and shackle mounts might take a few passes. I triple pass mine.

Have you ever cross sectioned a weld? I would never trust that. The rule of of thumb is 1 amp per .001" thickness on mild steel.

 

Get an older lincoln, century, miller. My century welder from 1999 will out weld a Chinese welder any day blindfolded. Works like a new one still. They are about the same price but quality matters.

the ones in that thread were around 500. also depends if you want to flux core weld or get a bottle right away
