Got my light bar from the Illumination Supply/BAMF mount group buy installed. Had to relocate the horns and temp sensor down lower, but the 20" bar fit behind the stock grille with no major issues or trimming necessary. I do lose light from about 6 LEDs because of the black plastic around the Toyota logo, but the affect seems to be minor.

i bolted them to the bed rails.. the bed rail has 5 bolts along the entire rail. so i loosened each one, and slid the d-ring behind it.. so it sits flush mounted.. they are pretty damn secure!

So the other night I did the top half black. I had an idea, to bring it together with the fenders a bit more. So, I literally brought it together, Stiched it up. lol Made it look like stitches...

You'll have to move the horns and temp sensor too. I pasted a link to the how-to I used below. He routes his stuff by the air bag sensor, I didn't bother with all that, just use the hole above it that the tranny cooler lines run through.

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...atoshi-grill-horn-relocation-w-lots-pics.html

I had to buy 4 5/16" fender washers to mount the Illumination Supply light bar to the BAMF mounts, and then two 5/16" x 1" bolts with two fender washers and two nylox nuts to relocated the horns. The temp sensor can use an existing hole, which is described in the how-to.

Overall it probably took an hour and a half, including the run to the hardware store. I haven't completed the final wiring, I am still waiting on my switch to come in. It will be wired in to only come on with the high beams, but I wanted to wire in a switch as well, in case I wanted high beams without the LED bar. I will be getting a 2nd 20" bar once I get my Relentless plate bumper.

Awesome, Thanks for the info. I'll save some time and go to the hardware now while I wait. lol. Doesn't sound to bad. I bought the 2 switch setup for the future. I know at the very least I want to add one to the roof. I have a local guy trying to sell me his used 50" oracle led for $300. Not sure, I never heard about oracle an LED light bars. But I guess we'll see.

Those are zipties actually. He probably ran his bumper over or got it for free. ThatsTHE cheapest way to fix fiberglass. Also used on good bumpers so when racecars rub the bumper comes off the car instead of getting all smashed up. That way you can use one bumper all season.

Got some 60" Thule bars with rain gutter high towers. since we do not have rain gutters and I got them for 80 bucks I rigged them up to attach to the side bed rails. They came out solid and support my weight.

Have a great day at Toyota!! Just bought a new Honda and the service manager at the stealership who I've dealt with for 20+ yrs asked me why? I said check the service record on my truck and then give me a call. I'll be over at the Honda shop.

Took my 2012 Tacoma SR5 4 cylinder 5 speed manual to dealer for it's final 25,000mi Toyota Servicing. Truck actually has 18,800 miles on it. I bought the truck new in 11/2011. It's more of a winter/hunting/hauling vehicle for me. It doesn't see much summer use. Sits in my driveway more than anything.

Also had the original trash Dunlop Grand Trek AT20 tires balanced. At highway speeds I'd get a shimmy/vibration in the steering wheel. Drove me nuts! This has been going on for about a year. I blamed the tires, but since the dealer re-balanced all 4 wheels it's stopped. Once these tires fail me or piss me off I'll replace them.

Found LEER 100R on craigslist for $500. Was blue but didn't care. Was planning on Line-X anyway. Turned out awesome.
