Come on dude, just buy a Tacoma already. If you want someone to tell you otherwise, go to a Chevy or Nissan board.

My mom had an 07 Frontier, to be honest I liked it. I was contemplating selling my tacoma and just making payments on that once she bought her new car.
Glad I went with keeping the tacoma though.

Wouldn't bash a frontier though, it was pretty reliable for camping/towing.

ATO front skid (need more but icon's might fail if I hang anything else from my truck) All-Pro front bumper thanks to a good deal here and a pesky encounter with a rock or 20, total chaos uppers.
:Both have issues, taco's have frame rust issues and Nissan has issues of their own. Toyota does have the resale advantage.
Also don't expect to many people to sell you on a Nissan on a Tacoma forum:D

Just sold a Nissan with ~160,000 on it. It was a great truck. Gas mileage sucked, and it was uncomfortable on a long road trip. Other than those issues, it served me well. I have a 2014 Tacoma on order for the next truck. Both trucks will serve you well. I personally like the looks of the Tacoma over the frontier, and the ride is more comfortable for my fat butt! I am not a hard core off roader, so went with the SR5.

Frontier also has frame rust issues, but they weren't famous - the Frontier didn't sell in great numbers, and Nissan never extended the warranty on the frame like Toyota did with 1st gen Tacos.

The Altima has floorpan rust issues. Who's to say the other Nissan models don't use the same coating?

A friend of mine had a Frontier, wasn't to happy with it, tailgate fell off on the highway, poor build quality, Nissan isn't what it used to be. He bought a F-150, I doubt he'll be any happier.

I haven't done anything to my 2008 six year old Tacoma except tires, those Dunlops suck. Very happy with everything except fuel ecenomy.
