Winches are handy..another way out..plus a tool to help move trees if needed from trails..rescue your buddy..and others. Still has its limits..but nice to have no doubt.

does add some weight though thats for sure..

 

thats where snatch blocks and a pull pall or two come into play.

honestly with synthetic line..the extra..50-70lbs is worth it i think..

 

yep haha recovery gear in general is pricey..but when you need it..worth..every..god damn..penny..haha

Hey w/ CO2 tanks, what sort of maintenance would need to be done? Do they rust up even w/ oiling & all that. Or what's the life expectancy of an average tank?

 

they need to best tested every 5 years i think..or 3 or 7 something like that..to be DOT approved. Long as it passes that..your good. I don't think they rust very easily..

If you buy a used tank definitely get it tested. But i would think overall life? Pretty dang long..20+ years easy if you don't beat the crap outa it..and i mean who is gonna do that? its a bomb/missle if you just let it roll around and such haha
