    Have you re-measured your front ? The reason I ask is I am considering adding a top plate spacer to my set up but I'm not sure if I will go with the 1/4" or 1/2" spacer

    Who did you have install your kit? I ask because I have the full OME kit w/ Dakars and LR UCA's sitting in my spare room waiting to be installed.

    I haven't done it yet because I don't want to mess with it, I have no driveway or garage to do it in. Unfortunately I think I am overthinking where to take it. Everything is a fairly straight forward bolt on so I would think that a Firestone or any place could handle it but maybe that's risky. Anyone have any thoughts?

    I was reading through a build thread I think and I came across the shop the guy used. A few TW members replied saying that the place was fairly priced, awesome techs etc etc. so I called them up and told them I heard about them on TW and they hooked me up. Probably will be going there again to have them install my Dakars.

    I called a few other places in my area the specialize in off roading but ultimately I picked a place that met my needs; same day service and a fair price. Couldn't be happier.

    Thread revival??

    After reading the thread below, I am leaning towards all Pro standards or expos [​IMG]

    Hopefully in the next year or so, I plan on starting to off road and not towing as often, maybe the pontoon twice a year. I plan on getting more armor, bumper, skids, and thinking of a bed rack and RTT.

    Also thinking of changing from Wheeler's superbumps to Timbrens and U bolt flip kit from All Pro.

    Any help/advice would be appreciated [​IMG]

    Sure looks like he's running 1/2" spacers based on the photo, 1/4" would not be that thick. Don't most people go with the 1/2" or 13mm spacers with this strut to get to 3" of lift?

    I think the OP needs to remeasure that spacer :cool:

    Timbrens are spendy but better IMO. They are taller and can handle more, I have been really pleased with mine. Very nice when loaded down with a bunch of weight and offroading, they soften the blow oh so nice.

    I haven't really heard the same with the superbumps. I heard they work well with light offroading, but when hitting hard or running a heavy loads they compress a bit too easy making you really feel the hit.

    When I redo the rear and add hydro bumps I plan to keep the Timbrens and reverse the mounting location to the chassis. I'll mount them in a way that they can be easily removed or installed so when I need to tow or run a heavy load I won't sag ass.

    Yeah I wasn't going to say anything but the photo just really threw me off. My buddy has 1/4" spacer on the driver side and its hardly visible.

    Should have bet money on it darn it ;)

    Question for those of you have installed Dakars with the
    $82 d29xl leaf spring
    d29xl and all pro u Bolt flip kit; What torque specs did you use? Especially since I have to take apart the dakars to add the d29xl..

    I was able to find a thread here: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/northern-california/282372-2nd-gen-torque-settings.html

    I found on a couple Tacoma forums that the u bolts should be torqued to between 80 - 90 ft/lbs.

    Have not purchased the Dakars and d29xl yet as I have bills, it's christmas and this satoshi is taking up some cash :rolleyes: so maybe they come with that info? Not too sure :notsure:
