Hey yall,. Moved up to Boise from Texas earlier this year. Needless to say I'm stoked I sold the wrx for another Tacoma before the move. The mods started when I found the trails. Added sliders, got some new tires last week, basic recovery gear and what not. Ordered a Pelfreybuilt HC rear with swing out. Sorting out lift options and filing for bankruptcy! Anyhow, just wanted to introduce myself. Hope to see some of you guys out on the trails. Defiantly want to join in on a group meet or two next season when the truck is more worthy.

    welcome from boise friend.

Myself and andy are local here in boise, brady is over in poky.

Where are you at in boise? Andy and I are both right around vista and overland. We go wheeling locally at odd times, whenever we can both find some time off that works or if a club is going. We also just go and hang out and drink some beers and smoke cigars and shoot the shit every now and then as well. You are welcome to join us of course and hang out.

post up a few pics of your truck so we can see if we can spot you.

Thanks guys, I live in some apts off State and 36th. Work down at Prestige watersports downtown. Definatly down to hang out and have some beers and what not. Always down for some wheeling although I hope to get to a few more places once I get the lift done. Anyhow here are some pictures of the rig. Added some new ST maxx tires last week and burned on some BAMF sliders would be the only changes in looks

    yay...god..they still..not..purdy..haha

least its sealed now..hopefully :p haha

Yea i think actually living like in Lander Wy or Jackson or even that same like area but in ID or that corner of Utah is the most ideal place ever. Close to ID, Wy, CO, UT and even MT. Can't go wrong really.

twas great indeed on many levels..

i agree! should like the STTs. My dad runs them on his 08 tacoma.

Ill take your word for it..can't say i have been there. I know a couple of cuties that live in Twin Falls though..that place looks cool.

If i could pick anywher to live. Be Powell, Cody, Lander hands down. Powell is nicer to me the Cody because you have the Big horns just a TAD closer and MT..and more importantly..not NEAR the tourist traffic.

BUT cody is pretty nicely located..and if you can score a place up in the South fork..my god you'd never leave. Wish we coulda gone up that way..hell even the North Fork it pretty.

But i like the little CO towns i go through to get to Moab and such..Craig, Rifle, and Meeker.

Ouray..seemed ok. Not sure id want to live there though..idk why..i don't really like ski towns though..just something about them bugs me..not sure why.

oh and i meant to tell you this afternoon. Today on my way home on my bike a Fiat Abrath pulled out behind me and passed me. I was surprised how good it sounded. Wasn't ricer at all. Very deep sounding and pleasant with a touch of turbo whistle. I bet they are fun to drive. Idk why i felt like i needed to tell you that..but just did haha and saw a GTR today..

So I have another noob question...

Would it be a bad idea to wire my led bars into my headlight wiring? I figure HID's pull less current than halogens, and the stock h4 wiring is hardly used in a relay setup anyway
