I remember what's his face posting that. Hold on real quick..

    EDIT: Here…

I honestly won't ever own a rigid since it is pretty much the same thing. I honestly can't tell a difference in brightness and distance between a rigid and a totron/aurora/china light bar. I still have no idea why they're so expensive. And what he said about "you get what you pay for" is true, but he stretched it a little. They only thing you're paying for is rigid's name and because it is "Made in America" (more like imported parts assembled here) and their lifetime warranty. Those are the only 2 things going for them and imo and a LOT of others, it's not worth the extra cost when you can buy 3 or 4 of the same light for the price of 1 rigid. It's just common sense to get a totron/aurora/china light bar over a rigid.

But like I've said as well, make sure you buy one from a good and well known company. OK's, blitzpro, etc.. There are other good brand "china" bars, but I couldn't think of them all. That way you know you won't get a piece of junk.

Without revealing too much -- they are called "alley lights" in a certain circle of professionals. That's where the idea came from - the folks that did the work fabbed the brackets and made it real. I can aim them about anywhere - my thought for the down/rear angle was for airing up/down or chaining on/off or as an adjunct to the rock lights. Now that I have had them on a couple of times I may re-aim them to more mid-truck or just off front doors for better viewing or getting in/out in darkness.

    Alley lights:

Will post pics from night time - amazing is the only word. Lights like this are "weaponized" that's for sure!!

Got these this weekend. Great seller and good parts... But I didn't double check my bar's OD, so they're too small.

Anyone have another source for these brackets?

My take on this whole LED bar world that we live in now is that I can not in my mind spend the type of money on a bar that I will use maybe a couple times a month/year that the Rigids cost. For a 50" bar (which I would use maybe once a year in a real environment) I could buy a set of TC Lower control arms which will be used every day I drive the truck. My decision would be the lowers

But again. That is just me

I think that the only rigid bar I would buy is the RDS one when it becomes available for normal people

Yes I think those type are very similar to vision x's Evo prime bars. And I think vision x is the best out of all of them. They are using the same reflector style but probably different circuit boards. 10 watt cree led's. Very very bright. I purchased a pair of 8" rated at 3440 lumens each in flood and liked them so much I bought a 21" combo rated at 10,320 lumens. And I believe them to be correct in the lumens ratings. I paid $ $142 for the 8"pair, $189 for the 21". So for a total of $331 that gives me 17,200 lumens, I call that a STEAL. And they are INSANEly bright. I love them. I did however have to take the 21" almost completely apart just to get the mounting bar out and it came with a couple scuffs you can't see on the backside.. But its still waterproof and moisture free after a 3 day rain and puddle jumping and some mudding. I'm confident they'll hold up. I was gonna post a thread on them just haven't got to it yet. But I would def say go for it.I would go as far as to say they might even be better(brighter) than rigid or anyone else except vision x. But vision x wants like $400 for ONE 8". But, vision x's are probably as sturdy as rigid and brighter and have better circuitry and better led's. Time will tell for these replicas tho.. But who cares, BRIGHT BRIGHT BRIGHT is all I care about. As far as the lenses, I would go for the combo. Works really well.
Here's vision x's 30" they are selling for $1399! They look almost identical. I got a glimpse of the circuit board when I took mine apart and now that I look at the pic, I'd say there's a good chance they "might" be identical in parts but not sure of the quality..

I just bought a new camera and haven't taken pics yet, but here's a crappy shot from my phone camera of the output, which I will say again is crappy coming from my camera, you have to see it in person.

Wow if only those ebay ads could have the same amount of documentation on their product hahah. Thanks for the write-up, that definitely gives me some confidence since I never knew about Vision x until a few minutes ago. Looks to be pretty much the same damn thing for $1100 less, think I'll take my chances when I've got some leftover holiday money to spend.

If anyone else has anything to say about these single row bars I'd love to hear it. :)

Just to let you know the "knock offs" are coming out with a curved bar as well.

I bought from a company called OffroadLEDBars.com which look very close to RI. They announced that they are releasing their curved bar in 3 weeks

Wow I've been outta the loop for a bit. Everyone's coming out with new even more awesome stuff! That curved bar is pretty sick lookin. And I might consider that one too for the windshield mounted one I want. As long as the lumens is close to the vision x's.

No, but here's a couple pics of the output with my new camera. Keep in mind that my projectors are on too for the high beam, guess I shoulda disabled them. Still experimenting with the camera but here it is.
And this is only the 21" and projectors, so about ~17k lumens for high beams. Pictures STILL don't so it justice tho.
