30" light bar on a bumper?

I wanna put the biggest possible light bar on my bumper, the opening at the bottom of the center hoop is 28" Im thinking of cutting the center of the tubing and adding 4" to the center hoop, but im not sure how it would look.

does anyone have that big of a light bar on there bumper? pics?

but if I remember correctly, they are mostly 2nd gens

 

thats the thing, 2nd gens are wider so a 30" would work. i think that adding 4" to the tube will be fine. looking at the relentless bumpers the center hoop looks like it could go out a little more and still look fine. but i guess i wont really know till it gets here.

 

Why not just put a 28" in? RI makes a 28" bar

 

RI as in rigid industries? Cant afford one of those, nor can I justify spending the money on one if I could afford it

I would how ever like to see a china bar, an amerian assembled bar, and a rigid bar taken apart side by side just to see the difference

ive actually been doing a lot of reading since my last post. and what ive come to is the aurora makes led bars that a nearly identical to RI lights with the exception of the optics that ri has patents for. right now im trying to find a place to buy aurora lights and im also considering a 10" and 2 6" bars in stead of 1 30" due to the fact i could angle the 6" lights off to the side to get a better spread of lights

crap. found a place to buy aurora, $300 for just a 10" damn these quality led lights

 

I recently got a 20" double row from OffroadLEDBars.com

This thing is burly and bright as hell. Much brighter then my old bar, and the Hella's that I have owned in the past.

I made the mistake a while ago by emailing Auroa lights. They emailed me non stop until I told them to stop. Now with the holidays coming up they have started up again. They don't take rejection well

 

I figured we would take your 30" RI apart to look it over first

 

I think im leaning towards seward lights or illumination. They are assembeled in the US and they are priced within reason

I have a 32 inch bar that I was considering putting onto my soon-to-arrive Relentless Fab bumper. According to Eric, a 32 inch bar, mounted in the middle, would force the center hoops out so far that they would block the headlights partially. So I installed the 32 on a roof bar, and have a 22 inch that I will be putting on the bumper. Just figured I would tell you what I found out just in case it helps.

 

crap, im getting a relentless too, My plan was to cut the top middle of the hoop and add 2-3" of tube so the light takes up the whole opening and the mounts tuck behind the tubes. but im waiting to get the bumper in that way i can see for myself. I to was worried about blocking the head lights

 

Figure that a 32 inch bar is actually about 34 inches wide when you include the mount brackets (even turned inward)

 

yeah, but im only worried about the actual lens being in the opening, not so much as the entire housing. but im kinda talking myself into a 20-28" bar and then either pods or 6" lights on the side of the hoop. I got my bumper with the half gaurds so depending on how much room i have to mount something in the half guard will determine what i get

 

Splitting it up into a triad like that sounds like an interesting idea. Would the ones on the side block the bottom of the headlight when mounted on the bumper? Or am I misunderstanding your design idea? I'm curious how it will look.

 

They should because the half guard shouldnt block any of the head light. If you google tacoma plate bumper half guard youll see what im talking ahout. A lot of second gens have them and theres a lot of room under then to mount lights. But I havent seen any 1st gens with them
