it seems to be a problem with the 2005 when i look it up on the internet but when i called the head office they told nobody made complains on them so i told her to put my complain in files and its something everybody should do then they might check for recalls just hopefully everybody with problems would call and file complain

Not the end of the world though, they are just motor mounts. Find a competent welder, get some drops from a local shop, a can of paint or two and get your truck back on the road. That is of course assuming that you may not have the capabilities to weld. If you do, it's easier and cheaper than having it hauled to a shop so someone else can fix it.

Wow, so would they (legally) require you to purchase a new frame? Not that I know anything about the laws up there, but it would seem as they would allow a certified welder to perform repairs on a vehicle's frame.

    Seriously?

Wow, that sucks. Call Toyota and see if they'll do anything for you? Were there any rust problems on the frame?

Unreal. Canada has some crazy laws. You can't get into the damn country if you have even had a DUI or anything, you can't weld on a frame- and yet, the god damn crime is so rampant with the snowmobile community that it's become one of the biggest jokes in snowmobile tourisim. It's almost a guarantee that if you drive to Quebec with a nice truck, trailer and snowmobile that you won't be returning home with any of them. They ought to concentrate on eliminating the rampant theft than if a frame has been welded.

This is not true. There is no law against welding on frames. I also live in NB and used to have an older Mazda B2200 with lots of welding on the frame - it passed inspection that way for quite a few years before it finally died.

It is illegal to weld on transport truck frames, as they are heat treated / coated.
    Passenger vehicles... it's allowed.

Are snowmobile thefts really that bad in quebec? Wow... I know you've got to lock your stuff up (chain your bikes down, especially up north) i guess it's good that muggings happen much less often here...
