Just ordered a 2014 DCSB 4X4 today. Wanting a set of bolt-on sliders that utilize factory holes. Made my own previously for my 05 Prerunner but looking to buy a set this time. Here are the ones I designed and had made. Wondering what others have for bolt-on sliders? Lets see em!

I ran multiple FEA runs and did physical testing with them bolted to the arse end of my buddys F350 and lifted several different slider locations using a fork lift. They held up pretty well.

I do like the looks of the plate on the bottom of those. I have not seen that before.

Subbed, looking for a bolt on set for my DCSB too. BAMF makes some sick sliders but I'm not sure if they require drilling.

Yeah BAMF bolt-on sliders require drilling...apparently it's a pain in the ass, too.

Yes they bolt on to the existing frame but to make them sliders worthy of using a hi-lift when off-roading, you have to drill the underside of the frame to finish bolting the other 6 holes (both sides)- otherwise JLee says they are not strong enough. That, is the biggest pain in the ass- lengthy process as you have to drill in a step-wise fashion with a lot of drilling oil. Planning to have a friend finish welding them to the frame because I don't want to deal with the PITA it will be to drill.

In retrospect- I would not have bought bolt-ons because they charge more and you still have to drill. Find a friend with a welder and call it done.

I like that design. There are two easy to use places on the bottom of the frame that you can bolt to that would make this design seem better. Although, how do you get to all the bolts that you would need in the middle of the slider...on top of that big center plate?

Anyway, it's fun to make your own stuff and those look nice!

Ha! I've got stuff to do...can't be on the forums all the time. : )

Slee bolt on sliders are pretty awesome...if you can handle the price. Many of these bolt on sliders offered inspiration for my project. A lot of nice stuff out there. We're lucky!

Thanks for the compliments 1BoredClerk. There are weldnuts on the frame plate above the skid. On the inside of the frame there are thick large OD washers with 1/2" bolts. About 8 bolts per side. A couple inside the front boxed section and the last one was right before the leaf spring perch.

Thanks FriedTaco! I wanted to make more and offer a few sets to forum members but at low volumes, it was pricey

Sorry if this is thread jacking but is welding on stronger than bolting on? I would imagine so. I just don't understand why people want bolt ons over weld ons. Is it because they imagine it to be an easier install? Drilling through the frame is a PITA for real...

I never thought of a potential recall or anything like that... hmm... Thanks for your input.

That is one of the biggest reasons I won't put sliders on my truck, even though they'd be nice to have.
